Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe stayed in a King Deluxe Room for 2 ppl, room has no crockery, cutlery ie plates, knife, fork or spoons for eating, toaster, chopping board or knife, these small inclusions would have made our stay a little more comfortable...maybe the resort could consider these inclusions for future guests or byo Dolphin feeding is crowded so get there early. Order, eat & drink early for breakfast, lunch & dinner as restaurants & bar run out of menu items.
Friendly helpful staff, comfortable beds, clean, basic appointed accommodation with easy 75min transfer to island but you feel like you are miles from home.

AustraliaPros: Beautiful location Lovely beach with access to amazing diving/snorkelling Room was comfortable Ferry service was efficient and well run Cons: Location was beautiful but completely overrun with motorised vehicles of every sort As you walk on the beach you have to avoid quad bikes and cars. The eco centre has a photo of a turtle that was run over, but there has been no effort to prevent this from happening Once you get to the wrecks, you have to dodge huge boats (there were 14 there on one of our swims) and jet skis. Why is there no boat exclusion zone? Why isn’t the safety of swimmers prioritised? Some of the boats are engaged in fishing, which is known to increase the risk of shark interactions for any swimmers in the area. The dolphin feeding is a few seconds of interaction amongst several hundred people lined up. Not an authentic wildlife experience. Overall: a beautiful site that lacks any regulation to prevent ecological damage, and fails to provide a safe environment for swimmers/divers.

AustraliaThe resort has a shop, but the options are very limited: almost no vegetables (so if you want to cook a salad, it is not possible), no slippers (so if you forget yours or they broke, too bad), no porridge for kids except expensive ones in single use bowls. We stayed at the Kookaburra building and one of the lifts' d oors did not open properly from time to time. There are some options for eating out, but they are quite limited. You have 3 options for the evening: grilled meat and fish (absolutely delicious!); fish and chips cafe with burgers, pizzas, salads; Stone and Fire restaurant which is quite expensive (average dish is $40) and dishes mostly are very spicy (the menu shows 4 options: no spices, one pepper icon, two peppers and three) and we couldn't eat the dishes with even one pepper, so spicy they were.
Heated towel rack, plenty of beach towels, staff is amazing, and there is something to do even in rainy weather (table tennis, billiard, trail walks). Dolphin feeding is extremely well organised, family friendly and overall it was a fantastic experience. Pools are aways clean, we saw how meticulous staff are cleaning it (both pools) every day. Each level of the building has washing and drying machines.

AustraliaIt was a nice resort. In need of a refurbish. Could hear the people in the next room very loud and clear. Heard when the carts were going and coming back. If you want to sleep in there is no chance. You have to walk 1.2km to the car park if you drive there. The staff were very efficient and friendly. Plenty of food variety to buy. Merchandise was expensive. The grounds were very clean and tidy. Lots of places to have BBQs.

AustraliaIf cruise liners would not stop at the island, the water would not be disturbed and then could've had a great snorkelling experience. The problem is that one of the main attraction is snorkelling and diving. We could not even see 50 cm ahead in the water because the sand needs to be settled and that takes 1-2 days. By the time this happened probably another cruise liners will arrive.
We liked the location of the island, Dinner at Beach Barbecue and Beach Cafe, Lovely sandy and easy excess to beach all around, Dolphin feeding, the pools, Nice apartment with balcony

AustraliaNo shade on the beach. A great idea would be to erect small shelters that you could hire, would be a great money spinner, especially for day trippers.
We bought our own supplies so had breakfast in our room each day. We then enjoyed the beach and water activities and a tour of the Island. We then have cheese, crackers, dips and fruit on the balcony each evening with a glass of wine. The only day we did use the restaurant it was disappointing. Chips soggy, fish and prawns kept warm under a warmer. Not freshly made. Wasn't even slightly warm. Very disappointing. Not a lot of variety to choose from when you are vegetarian. The Asian Fusion restaurant was closed when we were there.

AustraliaThe accommodation was basic- no microwave or sink for the price. We stayed in the Kookaburra area in a Hotel Deluxe room. The bed was too soft. The food was overpriced and underwhelming ( the ribs at the bbq restaurant were good but pricey. The water sports were expensive and not included as any bonus in accommodation. The buffet breakfast only went for 2 hours. 7.30-9.30Am. When on holiday the only people up that early are families with children. The point of a holiday is to relax. Too many kids in the spa were unsupervised, jumping and diving under the water.Parents seem to think it is playpen.
We loved the beach, the room was quiet. The staff were pretty helpful and cheery. We also loved the Wild 🐬 feeding. It was well organised and we had a glorious night for it.The view from our room was lovely ( ocean ). We had easy access to the beach and pool was also clean and calm.

AustraliaToo expensive to do activities- food choices were poor, especially when you are in an apartment with only coffee cups, wine glasses and one tea spoon- you have to purchase meals. You could consider more of a dining option

AustraliaOur stay at Tangalooma was truly magical. Our room was lovely and had an amazing view.the location is out of this world and the best place to have our honeymoon. All the activities we did were awesome and we got to feed wild dolphins as a part of our accommodation package. We will definitely be going back and I highly recommend going, you will not be disappointed.
