Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaSome smalls things: There was a music speaker but with no instructions how to connect to it. There was a coffee pod machine but with no coffee pods. Most importantly, there was no air conditioner unit down stairs on the bedroom floor which is a must. At least 1 unit outside all the bedrooms so that cool air can be blown into the bedrooms by the ceiling fan would be a strong recommendation on an improvement. Please note the upstairs smoke alarm was blaring when we arrived. Pressing reset stopped it for a few minutes but then it started blaring again for no reason so the only way to stop it was to remove the battery. Also the outside shower head snapped off a few seconds after the water was turned on, so this looked like it had been poorly glued on by someone else.
Great view and location and wifi. Great selection of games etc.

Fireplace and view is lovely. Can hear the waves if you leave the balcony door open which is charming.

AustraliaThe plumbing was not working well and will need to be looked at as water did not drain away from the bathroom and toilets.
Fabulous location, brilliant ocean views and a delightful place. Everything was available within a short distance from the property whilst providing a private and quiet environment. The house provided a comfortable and special experience for us all.

AustraliaThe property was a little dirty inside and out. On arrival, we found the bathroom sink filled water left and paper on the toilet floor. The toilet rolls in the other toilet had been water damaged and were brown. One of the bedrooms had short hairs on top of the bed. The kitchen bin had dripping stains on the inside and out and the oven was very dirty. Most windows were dirty on the inside and outside. There was condiments and food left inside the pantry(I’m guessing from other guests). The pots and pans were very greasy. We were also not aware prior to arrival that we would be using tank water. A heads up on this would’ve helped.
The property was in an excellent location with amazing views. it was spacious, airy and beautifully tranquil. it contained everything to make our break very comfortable.

AustraliaThey kicked me out a night earlier citing the "Owner wanted to stay there" , then the owner turned up a day earlier, entered the place, went upstairs and in to all the rooms violated my privacy, didn't check if someone was staying there, the managing agent admitted it was unacceptable of the owner to be inside, I was shocked as all my valuables are inside and knowing the owner can turn up at any time is a violation and a breach of the guest contract. Also the Agent made no offer to find me suitable accomodation instead they just said, we are only refunding you for the night you can't stay, the fact that I paid in advance and had no where to stay over a long weekend is poor service, I had to essentially sleep in my car last night as I couldn't get accomodation with a small dog. This is disgraceful and disgusting, The Agent said they didn't know I was there as the booking was changed from the 16th to the 23rd which is rubbish as I have an email from the Agent on the 19th confirming my upcoming stay, also they claim they changed owners but booking.com have provided me with the daily email confirmations to the manging agents of website bookings and analytics which clearly show they knew and the mix up they claim happened isn't true. I have never been treated this way and intend on pursuing this to the courts as clearly the admission by the agent and booking.com that they breach the contract and violated my rights as a guest. I was informed by my Travel agent that I should have called to police, as the owner clearly could see my car in the driveway, my clothes in the room and lights on upstairs, the managing agent said he questioned why someone was in the place, Ah Hello it a short stay rental obviously someone would be staying there if its advertised on booking.com, Great ocean road holidays, Airbnb, Agoda etc etc. The agent claims the emails were sent to the wife and not the husband and no-one read them, not good enough.
