Affordable, lovely old building, the bar etc isn't opened yet, its a work in progress and is going to be great when it reopens fully, which looks like it's not to far away from that, a bathroom upstairs would be great, tried hard not to wake up anyone in the building, the floors are rather squeaky, perfect for the 1 night for us.

The shower needs repair. This is below standard. It leaked and one shower was very cramped.

The men’s showers did not drain properly. The water flooded the area adjacent to the shower and my footwear and shower mat were sodden by the end of my shower. The floor tiles need to be lifted and replaced so they drain back towards the shower and not the other way round.

On top of the hill location was nice however the noisy locals late at night were not.

The friendly staff onsite, were very eager to make sure I had what I needed and the room were rustic old charmy style and the bed was fairly comfortable. Lower area under renovations but will be nice when finished.

Entertainment from TV was null and void in room one....... no antennae cable fitted and appears has never been connected compared to room 2. No milk or water in the bar fridge but enquiry to staff member sorted problem.

room was comfy for the 2 night stay and small tea/coffee room available. The bathroom facilities were ok but drainage seems to be a problem after several people had used the showers, ie. water all over bathroom floor.

The whole pub is getting a full makeover, but we were warned, and everything went very smoothly and the actual rooms were great Comfortable, good quality fittings etc, good heating. TV incl'g streaming. And a fair price for a very busy week (big mining conference) Staff on the phone very efficient and helpful, and friendly

I had a good stay at the property the staff were easy to get in contact with and deal with. The room was warm and comfy and the Netflix was a bonus so no complaints with my 2 night stay. 5 minute walk to all the pubs and cafes

Good location at the top of the main street of Kalgoorlie, so it's easy to find. It's next to the mining museum tower, so you can see that from anywhere in town

It’s still undergoing renovations, which is well-publicised, and not any real inconvenience. There was a bit of anti-social activity outside, but felt secure and safe as a solo female traveller. Ample parking right outside entrance.

Bedroom opened out directly onto a gigantic traditional old federation style balcony with terrific outlook down iconic Hannan Street one way and bushland towards Mt Charlotte another. Right next door to the museum, and walking distance to restaurants, shops and tourist bureau. Was recently used as the set for the outback Australian series Mystery Road… Such a great example of a Kalgoorlie Gold-rush era hotel. Good to see it returning to circulation/use!

I was unaware until check in, that the “pub” part of the property is not open, as it is getting renovated, hence I was a little disappointed- would have liked some communication about that prior to booking. Otherwise very happy - staff was super friendly and bed very comfy.

Great old pub building with a lot of atmosphere. Once the renos are finished, it will be awesome to go downstairs for a cold beer after a hot day’s sight seeing.
