Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaFinding the hotel was easy. It is not too far from Hamilton Station. Getting inside the hotel was also easy. The instructions sent through were easy to follow. The room was ok. It didn't look like it was cleaned very thoroughly though. The bed was ok but again I am not sure whether there were new sheets or not. I just slept under the doona. I was only able to get one channel on the TV which was channel 7. So, I had to endure the Logies! I was advised that there was a complimentary continental breakfast but there was no cereal, but if there was, there were no spoons. But the kitchen did have the essentials if you wanted to heat up food items. The bathrooms were clean enough. I stayed on a Sunday night so there was no noise from the Hotel as it was closed. The stay was ok. I believe that the accommodation is priced accordingly.
Location and ease of getting into the Hotel. Communication from the Hotel prior to the visit.

AustraliaSeveral advertised facilities were not available. The remote for the TV was missing, and since there were no controls on the unit itself, it was unusable. Breakfast is advertised, which consisted of some almost empty plastic containers of cereal, but no milk, no bread, or anything else. The fridge was stacked full of personal items owned by the (semi?) permanent residents. I contacted the accommodation manager promptly about both of those issues but got no reply. The cleaner tried to find a carton of longlife milk for me in the storeroom but said they had run out. Other advertised facilities not available: no tea/coffee maker in the room, bar and restaurant not open (this was a Friday night), no shared living area, no outside area for sitting. There's fair warning that the bathrooms are shared. However, the tap in the basin runs constantly and can't be turned off, the sliding shower screen does not operate and there's a leak somewhere that leaves a puddle of water on the tiled floor.
Check-in was advertised from 4.00pm but I was allowed access 30 minutes early, which was helpful. Sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable.

AustraliaThe bunk beds looked super unstable. Whenever one would move (even the one at the bottom) the whole thing would shake and I thought it would fall over when I climbed up. The breakfast was just some bread and cereal (but the cereal were not even identified, bad for people with allergies). You have to keep in mind that your on top of a bar so if you're not in the mood to party or if you're a light sleeper, I would not recommend it.
The rooms were nice and relatively clean. So were the bathroom and kitchen. Also good staff.

New ZealandIt was soooo loud , the mirror on the back of the door, the bedside table, the desk, tv and the bed were shaking until about 130am, the venue sent a message on the day saying it might be loud and if you are a light sleeper you may have trouble getting to sleep, but I ignored it due to the fact that I am a very heavy sleeper and by the time I saw the message I was already there.

AustraliaBreakfast we paid for was just some toast, cereals and milk, but no spread at all and no refill even after we have asked twice. We knew before party would be loud at night, but we didn't had an outside window, window was to the club room. Music was just techno and way too loud, not necessary. Mattress was very uncomfortable.
Good kitchen, great Wifi, staff friendly, towels, big room, very clean, good shower.

AustraliaI stay here a lot when I travel, first day of my stay looked like someone staying had a huge drinking session in the kitchen area and had left spillages on the floor and empty bottles overflowing the bin. Mens toilets not clean and mould all over the shower tiles. No cleaning was done for the 2 days I was there. Huge water damaged hole on the ceiling and the smell of damp carpet.. I usually tell my friends it's a good stay and is why I come back.. but yeah was a little disappointed this time around.
