Excellent Rooms and Bar

I've stayed for 1 night. The policy of check-out was before 10:00 am. The door was knocked at 9:40 a.m. to leave the room by the cleaning staff. I do not know if it usually happens here, however, I felt a bit upset by the service.

The location was convenient and near to the beach.

Nice view, equipped with a kitchen, big screen included Netflix. The counter is so nice to helping out with the parking.

One lift was not working and the first room we were in the aircon didn’t work properly Couldn’t order breakfast

All of the staff where amazing! From the reception to the bar, every staff member we met went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Beds where so comfortable, didn't want to leave. Nice products in bathroom too.

While the proximity to surfers paradise is great, at night you can still hear all the music from the surrounding bars and clubs. You probably wouldn’t notice it during the week or if you go clubbing.

The location is great as it is close to the main road in surfers paradise. The wood finishings in the room really gave the place an exquisite modern look and feel. The fact that Goldie’s is the provider of the breakfast in the morning is fantastic as it provides full value for money and one less meal to think about.

Was quite noisy at night till about midnight. One of my days stay I wasn't able to charge my laptop or phone due to power troubles. Cleaners left a dirty glove on the bathroom bench

Great location, few minutes walk the beach, cafes and restaurants. Room was cleaned daily and always had plenty of fresh towels. Kevin Murphy bathroom products were lovely. Reception staff very helpful and lovely. Great view. Pool area relaxing and nice vibes

The hotel has obviously been refurbished with some facilities being a little dated, elevators, hallways and pool but it wasn’t a problem.

Rooms were modern and aircon worked very well! Rooftop bar was a vibe.

The problem the Island was having with the elevators during our stay would be the only thing that caused inconvenience.

When I checked in, the hotel staff assigned me a room above the club on the 1st and 2nd floors, so it was so noisy until dawn that I had a hard time sleeping.

Amazing breakfast!!! delicious meal and lots of portions. Location is the best. The location is great and convenient to wherever you go on the Gold Coast.

Was told by reception our 5 rooms were ready but as it wasn't 3pm (it was 11:30) they wanted $50 per room to access the rooms, receptionist told us she hated this policy but its forced on them. Felt it was slightly ridiculous considering the rooms were ready and we was only throwing the bags in. Sums the hotel up, its 3* but popular due to its location and lively bar so they can do what they want so the service level is lacking.

Decent room, good location, lively bar, fairly priced food and drinks.

Bar closed too soon (20:30?) and we were thrown out the back door, having to walk around to get to our rooms. That was weird and done in a rude way. Rest was great.

Nothing. We loved it so much that we have booked to come again in a few months time! The location is brilliant! Only bad thing we experienced on this trip was the rainy and damp weather which is no fault of the hotels!

We booked this accommodation 30 minutes before arriving due to our other hotel cancelling on us when we got there with no prior-communication. We are so glad that they did because we LOVED our stay at The Island and have booked again to come for 2 nights in May. The location is perfect, staff were friendly, hotel decor was very clean, modern and fancy. The bar and diner was wonderful and the food was lovely. We paid $100 for 2 alcoholic beverages, 2 starters, 2 MASSIVE mains and 2 kids meals. Good value for money. Staff were willing to go above and beyond to accommodate our two small children who struggled to sit still at the dinner table. The pool area was lovely. Bedroom and ensuite bathroom were beautiful and very clean.

No toothbrush, no toothpaste Mini fridge wasn’t cool I noticed a few ants scattered on on the desk under Television. Although they were not swarming, there presence was noticeable and concerning.
