We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaAir con didn’t work properly although we did get a fan. Crockery wasn’t properly cleaned. Great location but for the price paid ($500) the room (king room with ocean view) was quite small with none of the little extras normally provided. The room was very tired. I have stayed at many Mantra hotels but this is not up to the normal standard. Overall we won’t stay there again even tho we have been offered a 20% discount on our “next stay”.

AustraliaThe decor of room very dated. Room 605 -2 being a 2 bedroom apartment was dark and not appealing. The advertising for these rooms is false and shows a very stylish apartment not what we experienced! Now Reading the reviews after our stay I would have chosen another property and am very disappointed. Will not return.
The location is fantastic views of local beach uninterrupted.

AustraliaRoom was tiny and very basic. It was a King Ocean but Iwas adjoining room to the one next door. For $300 per night I expect better. Maintenance was being carried out and the smell of paint pervaded the corridors. Some lifts out of access and you had to go right dow.n to the basement change lifts and go back up. Annoying. Hotel very jaded and needs major refurbishment

When the room Was remade there was a dirty brown mark on the bed cover. It wasn’t there the day before. Alls I can think was the cover was turned over. Whatever reason I’m surprised the cleaner didn’t change it. It’s very worn and needs refreshing. Would also prefer no louvres on the balcony.
