Lovely place nr beach club Cafe underneath not far to town but for elderly to far to walk but u can't have everthing ,also it's a pity Cafe dies not stay open later

Came back to the room after dinner to watch a movie, but there is no smart tv or Foxtel. You only have the option of watching normal TV channels. The apartment was so large that even though we left the heater on all night in the lounge room, the heat didn't reach the bedrooms so we were quite cold all night.

The 3 bedroom unit was huge and clean. The indoor pool was nice and warm in winter. The outdoor spa was very enjoyable. There is a good RSL just one minute walk.

First up, as we couldn't find street parking I initially walked in and asked if we could drive into the parking area, and then come up and register. Even though I showed ID, in the booking name, the staff member on duty advised she couldn't allow that without seeing my husband in person, and his ID. He was still driving around the block. We had booked online over a early lunch in Coffs Harbour. She then served another young man (who mentioned he had just booked a room the hour prior online) she upgraded him from a second floor room to a room on the 6th floor, as she told him, "we are only sitting on 50% occupancy." Eventually when asked again she said she'd give us a temporary card to access the parking. After meeting my husband and parking we went to registration. She handed us our keys for a room overlooking the 'water' as booked. It was on level 2. When I asked if there might be a chance for a higher floor we were told no, as that was above the room tyoe we had ordered. She then sent us to the incorrect lift well. She did apologise and showed us to the correct lift bank. Secondly, the room smelt extremely musty, looked a lot older than pictures shown, and the balcony was filthy. We will NEVER stay at this property again.

Loved the room with ocean views. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a some problems with booking through Booking.com - I booked the wrong date and tried to change it but kept getting denied by booking.com. The staff at mantra helped me resolve the issue.

Battery on door died so our card wouldn’t let us in after we had been down to the pool, but staff were efficient to help and changed the battery and let us in.

Pillows were like clouds, breakfast cafe downstairs was amazing, staff very helpful.

The refrigerator failed and was replaced. The shower rail fell off the wall and was repaired. The view whilst seating is obscured by the concrete wall below louvered windows so whilst seating all you saw was concrete. Room was very noisy from apartments above and next o our room. So much for non smoking accommodation people were smoking on their balconies and we had to leave our balcony and go inside shutting the door. The view seemed to be set up with after thought especially having a full wall cupboard marked private, a freestanding cupboard for cutlery,cups and glasses. Very disappointed with accommodation for the cost and will really review if I stay there again.

The king size bed my wife and I were expected to sleep on was without any doubt the worst bed I have ever slept on. We could actually feel the coil springs ‘digging’ into our back. The lack of basic utilities like, cutlery, crockery or a microwave oven was simply unacceptable for a room at $270 a night. On our trip from Brisbane to Sydney, we stayed at Park Drive Motel in Kempsey NSW. The facilities at this Motel were exceptional, with a very comfortable queen bed, 2 comfortable lounge chairs and a sofa, fridge, microwave oven, cutlery, crockery and many more extras for a measly $134 per night. Mantra The Observatory didn’t even offer two lounge chairs, or a sofa to sit on. This establishment relies heavily on the Mantra brand without offering very much at all.

Our room was very clean with beautiful views of the Town Beach.
