Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Our bedroom was too hot and unable to open window more than 8cm. Ceiling fan made a little more comfortable but prefer fresh air.

There is an issue with smell coming form the garbage Shute in ti the common area. Very un pleasant. There appears to be to fresh air into the area.

The ONLY thing we didn’t like was that there was no AC in the bedroom. There was only one split-system AC unit that was in the lounge room and the cool air did not reach down the long hallway into the bedroom. Although there was a fan, the room still felt quite muggy on warm nights. We stayed in January.
I liked the value for money. It was an older property however the facilities were clean, the bathroom was modern enough and the space was spacious. There was also free parking. It was also quiet where it was located.

We were given a room that was part of a double entry. Every time our neighbor left, even at 4 in the morning, it made a huge noise through our unit. Suggest the door to the two rooms should be permanently left open unless it’s a family in both rooms. Suggest good soap should also be provided not just a fairly ordinary body wash. At the price we paid that’s a small addition.
Clean. Good location. Parking good.

Would have liked 2 x extra coffee pods. So in other words, everything was great. Nothing to really mention that was negative.
Front office were friendly, nice warm professional welcome. Clean room. Coffee pods perfect for us early risers

It was not very clean. The shower had mould all around the frame the shower smelt of urine. The corridor had a horrible putrid smell, laundry was filthy and full of sand. The coffee table was full of streaks and not cleaned well.

The rooms are very basic, with no extra touches. There’s also no room service or restaurant attached to the hotel.

There are 2 Mantra in town. The car GPS does not recognise the address of the Observatory. We drove around to the other Mantra by error… It looks like we were not the first ones to arrive there by mistake… Beds are not very comfortable with fans rather than A/C in the bedrooms.
Friendly staff. Great indoor swimming pool. Perfect for a stormy rainy day on the coast. We stayed for one night only in a 2 bedrooms apartment very clean with brand new carpets it looked like. Nice Italian restaurant nearby.

While the apartments are a good size they are old and in need of an update. Carpets and lounges are worn. My sister in law was staying in a 2 bedroom apartment and there was only a 2 seater lounge and outdoor setting for 2 people.
The location and view are amazing - right across the road from the beach.

It was so noisy at night (hoons going up and down the street). Had the doors closed. Could not sleep till early hours of the morning. Beds and Pillows were too soft for us. The lounge chairs need cleaning as they smelled awful. Some soft chairs would be nice out on the verandah as the other chairs were uncomfortable (too hard).
The room was nice and clean. Bathroom cleaned well.

Being on level one was supposed to be ocean view but only glimpses cos it is more level with the road which also makes it a little noisy. Also the blinds need replacing. Quite worn on the edges.
We like being close to town. The pool and spa were nice to relax in as the weather was not the best. Good carpark. Very clean.
