Mantra the Observatory is in a really great location with views overlooking the beach and harbour. The apartment itself was very well appointed and it was spotlessly clean. I am extremely happy with the time we spent there.

Decor was grey, bland and with no colour unusual for a coastal apartment. Two back bedrooms looked straight into other apartment block behind, so absolutely no privacy unless you kept the curtains permanently closed. Carpet was old, marked and needed updating.

We had a one bed apartment, but the bathroom was basically an ensuite. The laundry was shared with the motel suite next to us, entrances for both the apartment and motel suite were via a shared door. Bed was super uncomfortable and when I asked if there was a mattress topper available to make the bed more comfortable I was told no, but they would see if there was another apartment available, day 2 we moved to another apartment, but the bed was just as bad and the apartment wasn’t as nice. It was very overpriced. Would not recommend.

We booked a two-bedroom with a connecting one-bedroom for five people. We were very disappointed with the outdoor dining table, which only seated four people. We have stayed previously and had an amazing outdoor table, which is why we booked an oceanview room. We were fortunate that the hotel staff provided us with another outdoor table and one more chair so we could at least sit outside and enjoy the view/ we ate all our meals and Christmas lunch outside, and at least the staff helped; otherwise, we would have had to move the inside table outside. This spoiled the holiday for me as the mum who wanted the table perfect. We also had no chairs or tables on the courtyard balcony, which was disappointing as we couldn't sit out and have our morning coffee. I was shocked at the lack of outdoor furniture for a holiday apartment. We will be back, but I will be specific: I don't want room 401 as the furniture was lacking for five people. We moved a single lounge chair into the central apartment because there was not enough lounge seating for five people.

Very tired. Carpet sticky. Doors can only be closed by slamming and the neighbouring family slammed their door from 7pm until 4am.

Travelling with kids who were looking forward to the pool only to be told the pool was closed for cleaning for the entire time we were there. Neither booking.com nor the hotel let us know prior to arrival. Also, the door frames had plenty of rust on them not that that was a huge issue but it didn’t look great.

We stayed in apartment 106-2. Unfortunately we were unable to sleep, hence we left a day earlier…. The blinds did not meet in the middle, the street lights and the park lights shone straight into the bedroom. The blinds in the main body of the apartment were not blockout so let through the street and park lights during the night.. The ac was located in the main body of the apartment, so to keep the bedroom cool we had to leave the door open adding to the light issue whilst trying to sleep…. Really disappointed ☹️
