How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was a strange smell in the room. Management tried their best to fix the odour Bed frame was wobbly and squeaked when you rolled over

We were on the opposite side to the beach. The middle layers echo. So kids in the morning echo through the complex
Good location. Staff were wonderful. The view was not the fault of the complex, we just need to look at location next time. Love the little golf course, gym, table tennis, pool. Short walks to locations.

It wasn't overly clean, we had to use the washing machine on the last day, but chose not too when it was full of dried mud and mould. We ran a wash through to try and clean it.

Main bed was really hard and uncomfortable. No ceiling fans in the main bedroom or living area. We wanted to have the windows open to enjoy the ocean sounds but also needed the aircon to keep comfortable.

Noise emanating from gerneying of the atrium landings.
Great water views, good location within walking distance to shops & new Sandhills bowls club. Comfortable King size beds were a surprise. Good size unit and very clean. Friendly staff. Foxtel TV and WiFi worked well,

The master bedroom could have had a ceiling fan. Would have been a little more comfortable than airconditioning which became a bit too cold during the night.

The weather
We were originally on the ground floor facing the beach and had requested a higher floor if there was a cancelation. When we got there, they advised us that they had moved us up a floor. We really appreciated that. We had a good visit except for the rain which was constant. We would definitely stay at The Point Resort again it's in a great location and an easy walk to the shops at Bargara. The facilities were good even though we didn't get to do much, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we went for walks & just had a leisure break. Next time we hope the sun will be shining.

Unit was a bit dated and could do with a refresh.
The unit block was convenient to shops, eateries and amenities generally. The view was lovely. Kitchen was well equipped. The air con was much needed and worked well.

Property is a little tired. Aircon struggled in bedroom, all remotes need new batteries and rusty inverter on balcony blows hot air straight onto seating area.
Location and view was good, unit size was great. The 2 bedrooms and bathrooms was excellent and just what we wanted.

Was very hot when we visited AC mounted on the wall of balcony mode sitting outside very unpleasant. Some fittings broken ie fridge door trays could do with another ac in western bedroom
Convenient to beach and town centre. Quite location. Checkin was very easy Large unit plenty of room for our large family

Although more expensive, it would be better to have an apartment facing east towards the ocean. Better view and not so hot in the afternoons. Will do that next time.
Terrific location on the water. Comfortable and well maintained studio room. Faced west so a bit warm in the afternoon but effective air conditioning. Quiet area but very close to the town area and restaurants. Good undercover parking.

Air con was leaking on the dinning table so could not use the table and beds where too hard but other than not it was a vey good unit and we will stay there again if we go back.
