We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaThe fact that the rooftop bars were booked out for functions Friday and Saturday. Great for the hotel so just a minor gripe, but our group of twelve would like to have used the in-house bars more. Not a complaint, just a little disappointing. Certainly wouldn’t deter us from booking here again. This was our second visit.

AustraliaIf I had to pick a downside, it would be that you cannot guarantee a parking space. This is not usually and issue, but sometimes, if an event (wedding reception etc) is being held at the hotel, then spots can be in short supply. You can usually find something close-by.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the comfort and decor of the rooms after reading other reviews and having visited other establishments in Canberra.

I was happy to have the studio apartment as it was quiet, with enough room to comfortably move around. Having the bed in a separate area was great.

AustraliaI know it is reflected in the price of the room but I did miss the convenience of having a kettle, tea and coffee in the room.
The Rex is in a good location for exploring Canberra. Lots of nice bars and restaurants in walking distance too. The room looked as if it had recently been refreshed, as everything looked new and modern. It was fresh and clean, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom had a nice collection of products and the shower was great. The view from the rooftop bar is lovely and a nice place to have a drink.There is some onsite parking, which we were lucky enough to get. Attentive, friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I would stay here again.
