Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWasnt advised of work next door, so couldnt sit outside because of dust on balcony and noise. We have stayed a few times over past 10 years, pool area looked tired and chairs worn and need replacing.
Convient location, room was good size, bed good, shower good. Has mostly what you need for a week or few days.

AustraliaThe late check in was a hassle even though we got there 10 min after reception closed. It took them nearly 20 min to find our room booking as friends had checked into their room and for some reason they had changed the surname of my booking to their name.
The location was fantastic, and the room was lovely and spacious. Loved that everything was so close and we could tram or bus anywhere instead of having to deal with Gold Coast Traffic.

The room and location were perfect for me. I have stayed at The Wave previously a few years ago and even though the property has been in place for a few years it is still really well maintained with everything required.

AustraliaThe only thing I would complain about was the noise of the construction next door. It was so loud at times, but that’s not The Waves fault. Construction has to happen.
Love the position, it’s close to everything. The pool area is fabulous. Staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend.

Australiathe cleanliness of the apartment was not very good. I had to clean the kitchen myself (cupboards didn't seem to be cleaned from previous tenants) had to clean dishwasher drain. Could do better with dusting & vacuuming of carpets.
Love Broadbeach! The location of The Wave was close to shops, cafes, restaurants, entertainment, parks & beach. The pools / spa were clean (sauna out of order when we were there). The Gym was clean. Close to the tram so quick trip into Surfers Paradise & Pacific Fair shopping center. Very secure parking which was great! We enjoyed our stay at The Wave & will go back in the future.

AustraliaCar park is a bit hard at first, but once you know where you're going it's fine. Maybe a bit of a challenger for larger vehicles.
Real nice staff. Generous sized one bedroom apartment. Very good location close to beach, casino, supermarket and light rail. Rooftop pool and BBQ facilities. Would definitely stay here again.

AustraliaHanging bath towels was always an issue, hooks behind doors or towel rails would have been really useful.
Excellent location, beautiful pool overlooking the main strip of restaurants at Broadbeach. Great facilities like spa, gym and sauna. Roomy 3 bedroom apartment with huge balcony with almost 180 degree views. The whole family loved it!

Australia- You need to bring your key absolutely everything or you’re trapped. - There are no cleaning services during the stay - Shampoos/conditioners/dishwashing liquid/washing powder etc is not replenished during your stay. We had very few shampoos for 4 people over 4 days. - You’re up high. As in, high. If you have a kid who escapes or is crazy enough to lean over a balcony, you’re in trouble. There are no lockable locks on the sliding doors leading out to the balconies. - They do take an extra $500 as a holding deposit once you get there, and you wait 7 business days to get it back once you leave - We were in the sub penthouse and it does need some work. For example, the spa bath doesn’t work. The manager said there are things that need fixing. I think a regular 3 bedroom suite is better, unless you have teenagers who want their own space (which the sub penthouse would provide)
Firstly, if you are with little kids or wanting somewhere nice and convenient, this location is great. It’s right near the beach, restaurants, and the supermarket. It’s very easy to bring groceries back and then use the kitchen in the room. And whenever you need anything, it’s a short walk downstairs. We’ve stayed closer to SeaWorld previously, around the Hilton, and that area is too adult, shall we say. This is much more friendly. Secondly, you have everything you need in these apartments. Seperate bedrooms, a full kitchen, lounge, washing machine, dryer… it’s very nice. And they offer free parking. There are two pools, two spas, and I think a gym (I think, as I’m on holiday, and I refuse to use a gym whilst relaxing). It really offers a lot. We have stayed here before and we will stay again. It’s a very nice place.

AustraliaI did find a few pieces of someone’s hair in one of the kitchen drawers which I feel should have been cleaned. Halfway through our trip one of the spa lights downstairs stopped working which made the atmosphere of the blue spa a bit less exciting. I also wish the pool was open later as by the time we had got back to the hotel after exploring and had dinner we only had an hour to enjoy the pool. My room mentioned it would have a dvd player but upon arrival there was a spot for one but my room didn’t have one. It wasn’t a big deal so I didn’t bother mentioning it but if you had children it may have been a disappointment.
I absolutely loved the room it was clean and came with everything you could need. I didn’t expect to have any view of the beach but was delighted when I was on level 9 and could see snippets in 3 spots of the ocean. I also love their amenities and pools especially the rooftop pool which is always clean.
