Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Private. King size bed, peaceful setting with beautiful garden & birds. Lots of lovely little welcoming touches - port, coffee/tea, chocolates, homemade slice. Continental breakfast in beautiful setting, and so much to choose from. Would definitely stay again.

There was not a single thing that I could critique.

Such a lovely spot. Hosts went way above and beyond what one would normally expect. From one very tired traveller, this was so very much appreciated. Every comfort was considered and provided for.

Thistle Do ticked all the boxes and more. Welcoming, spotless, charming, comfortable, peaceful with thoughtful extra touches made one feel like a treasured guest. A definite 11out of 10 !!

There wasn't anything we didn't like! Fabulous place

We couldn't fault it. Host was cheerful and thoughtful. Fruit cake, nibbles and even a small carafe of port greeted us. Breakfast was all we could ask for. I would highly recommend to stay here. Excellent value for money

The property was in the perfect location and spotlessly clean. Our host Cathy was incredibly helpful and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Would definitely stay again if we’re ever in the area!

Quiet and comfortable. Lovely hosts. The location is walking distance to town. The grounds are beautiful and attracts wonderful birdlife. We required twin share which was not a problem. The room is attached to the house but not in the house has own on suite, fridge and tea making facilities. Cathy bakes her own delicious cakes and biscuits for you and a cold beverage if you’d like one. Cathy provides a delicious continental breakfast.

Nothing. The location , comfort, scenery from the verandah is very relaxing. very easy to stay. very hard to leave. We are booked in for next year.

The breakfast was more than adequate with plenty of home made and local products. The location is peaceful and central to many locations.

Cathy has thought of everything! Our room was beautifully appointed, it was clean, and incredibly comfortable. We were also welcomed with some lovely little homemade treats in our room - it was the epitome of country hospitality.

Welcoming and friendly host. Both room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The delicious homemade cake and small flask of port were a nice touch and representative of the exceptional attention to detail. Set in leafy gardens with nice view. When in Bridgetown, stay here. You won't regret it.

Exceptional service and accommodation at a great price. The host couldn't have been nicer or gone to more effort. I did feel bad as I was working so had little time for breakfast but she had gone to a huge amount of trouble with a superb continental brekky spread.

I had no issues whatsoever, however some people might not enjoy the walk up a hill from the town centre.

Thistle Do was a wonderful little oasis, lovely quiet room and spotlessly clean ensuite, leafy yard area. Cathy was an excellent host, very welcoming and friendly. I really couldn't ask for more. One of those places you want to recommend to everyone, but also want to keep to yourself so you are able to get a booking in future travels. Just fantastic hospitality, thistle certainly do!

It was perfect!

What an amazing place. Cathy was a delightful host and so accommodating. She went out of her way to make my stay the best possible. The B&B is perfect and I only wish I had more time to enjoy it. All the extra touches were over and above. Why would you want to stay anywhere else!
