How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Minor issues: Pillows were too high and firm. Bring your own pillow. Kitchenette was adequate but an electric stove and more kitchenware would be nice. There was no mop or dustpan in the apartment. There was no clothes horse provided. Observed a dodgy exchange in the carpark area
Great location, clean, very spacious in 3 bedroom apartment. Great value for money. Big living room and private balcony. Big fridge in kitchenette. It was pleasant and quiet. Easy to travel by car to local beaches. Coles is just around the corner. Close to The Entrance and Norah Head Rock Pool.

We had the family room (room 18) and it was great. Lots of room for us all. It was very clean and lots of space for us all. We had dinner form the local Chinese, Asian Haven, which was lovely. A nice place to stay on our travels and so very clean. Thank you

The fact that the place was full of people in temporary housing by housing Commission. I payed almost 500 for 3 nights never was offered fresh towels. The place had trash everywhere out front of rooms and on the floor 😔 alcoholic cans and glass in the gardens, Noise at all hours people or people's smashing and slamming shit early hours in the morning. Dogs barking all hours as their was 3 dogs in one room and another guy has a dog . I have A 2 yr old and it just wasn't a safe place to be or pay the amount I did to be surrounded by these people. We will never go back or recommend.

Some Power points didn’t work. And there isn't many to choose from in the first place. There was dried poop under the toilet seat and hairs still in the shower. The shower had barely any pressure and took quite a while to warm up. The microwave and tv also didn’t work in our room. Thankfully we had family in another room so were able to use their facilities to make baby bottles etc.
Beds were comfortable enough. And the AC worked. Location is great and central to many places. So made a good base.

The floors were quite dirty and one of the double beds was unusable because of how firm it was. It was honestly like sleeping on the ground. There wasn’t any basic necessities like dust pan or garbage bags. The lay out of the apartment is very odd and the furniture is quite old with the tables feeling sticky no matter how much you clean them.
The property was close to the wedding venue and shops. Plenty of space.

The bedrooms didn't have bed lamps. This meant you could read in bed but had to get up to turn the lights off and then find your way back to the bed.
We were upgraded to the Suite, so we had plenty of room for the two of us.

Beds are a bit hard and the pillows all hard
Good location. Close to Coles and restuarants. We arrived early for a funeral and the owners let us go in before 2pm check in . Very nice of them

Poor comunixation regarrding room type after requesting ground floor unit due to health ussues. Cleaning the room not performed. No towels replaced. Wet toilet paper rolls caused by rainwater not replaced.. Dirty garbage bin lid. Chocolate stain on chair. Ypilet brush holder dirty.
