Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Lots of people are getting up early for tours so bear that in mind if you like to party all night and sleep all day go somewhere else! However its good if you are doing lots of tours. A few shelves for clothes in the bathrooms would have been helpful and also having to pay for air con was a pain as you had to have dollar coins and then also hope you had good room mates that would share the cost! But the good points of the hostel outweigh the bad.
A gorgeous hostel in a great location. Felt really homely and generally there is a nice social but chill vibe. Staff where great and the whole place is maintained beautifully with lots of good facilities. One of my favourite hostels on the whole east coast by miles and I made some great friends here!

I don’t really like hostels and sharing spaces as I’ve been in way too many at this point. Nevertheless this place is my favourite in Cairns, and probably in Australia too. Sharing kitchen is always clean, enough and clean bathrooms, superb staff, people really respects the rules, quiet at night and absolutely comfy beds. Makes me feel like in a little home.

Lovely aesthetic and great vibes all around, facilities were very clean and well maintained. Very homely feel to it, and other people staying at the inn were lovely as well. Highly recommend!

The facilities were really nice - loved the pool area. The place had a very chill vibe, and staff were extremely nice. I was able to do a late check-in and early check-out without any issues.

I loved my stay(s) at Travellers Oasis. The vibe is super chill, both staff and guests are nice, and the place is stunning. Very tropical, with a small pool and several kitchens. The outdoor shower is next level. The location is also great, close to centre and right next to the train station and Greyhound stop.

Everything there feels like it's done with the best intentions and care. such a nice atmosphere in the middle of town. They managed to create a bubble of good and beauty and harmony. Thank you so much. I will definitely come back there.

Felt like home away from home! Absolutely LOVED the common areas, each had its own kitchen. There were different outdoor areas, Amazing place to meet other travelers.

Tense vibe to the place, which is confusing because it looks so chill. Wasn't told in listing or at booking that aircon is coin operated. Fine. I traded notes for $1 coins with strangers on the train. Air conditioner states $1 for three hours. I put 3 $1 coins in at 9:45pm, when I woke up at 5am, it was already turned off. Weather in Cairns said "feels like 39°C". Oof. I would have happily paid an extra $7 to have an air conditioner that runs normally.
Close to train station. Staff were friendly. Clean room. Nice bathroom. The fridge had nice cold water in the fridge which was lovely. Loved the outdoor shower. Didn't get to use it in my short stay, but I love that it's there.

Admin is very friendly and supportive with location information. Provide excellent support with adventure to explore around Cairns. With the amazing help, I had one of the best times in Cairns.

If I have to say 1 thing its that you have to pay for the A/C (1 AUD for 3 hours) but its not really a big deal.
Everything is clean, plenty of bathrooms and kitchens, chill atmosphere. Really recommend.

We can hear the sound from the next room. The shared bathrooms are a bit not enough. The bed is just okay, not sure it's acceptable for everyone.
Friendly staff, kitchen for guest use, cute puppies.

AC just work with coins and sometimes I had some trouble to turn it on. The location is ok - is not that far from the city center but not that close to restaurants and bars.
Best hostel I stayed in Australia! Staff is great, super helpful and thoughtful! The hostel is super clean and bedrooms comfortable. Stayed in a 3-bed dormitory and I felt like home. You can also feel that this place is so special that it creates a very calm ambiance amongst guests. There are different common areas/kitchens for each group of bedrooms. The hostel is located just beside the bus station and a commercial center where there is a supermarket and some stores open until 10 Pm.

?????? Hard to say all was supper, I did not experience any thing to mention that was not good enough, sorry they are excellent! But most of all the feeling home and safe part is well appreciated by me!
All, the atmosphere, staff colours, setting price and happy vibes. I came half a day for The Cyclone Jasper hit Cairns, and the staff were SO help-full explaining what should be done, what to buy and what to take. I felt as safe as with my family. They cared more for us travellers than for their own beautiful peace-full Travellers Oasis. Nothing was to much in case I had to stay longer, they organised something for me. "Don't worry". It was an amazing place and experience to sit in a cyclone feeling safe! Now I am gone I look at the water damage, and hope any one will start their journey in Travellers Oasis, for the sake to rebuild what has been damaged. I hope they are all safe down under.

All kitchen and toilets got cleaned at the same time so you couldn't choose another one when yours were occupied. Additional charge for AC in the rooms.
Really beautiful decorated area with a lot of different spots for different activities and needs (common area, yoga lawn, swimming pool, quiet benches, book nook etc). Quiet and clean and everything you need in the kitchen.

This is a delightful little Oasis (excuse the pun ) it’s not a party hostel which I like and the rooms are clean and tidy and there is a nice vibe pool good kitchen facilities and communal areas in each like house area as opposed to a block I would definitely stay here again
