How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Broken power point in the bathroom prevented me from being able to get ready for our event in front of a mirror. The shower head also moved with the water pressure and sprayed the bathroom so we had to have it on low.
Friendly staff, great location and the bed was so comfy. We loved the block out blinds as we got a well needed sleep in on checkout day.

Very small fridge, a bar fridge size would be a good addition. The location it gives you on maps is not where the hotel is located. Its about a block away.

On the second night, the bathroom drains started to smell.

Booking.com & hotel led me to believe there was a swimming pool attached to the hotel & there was not.. Bedside lights were not working but staff got replacement ones quickly.

Just the bathroom sliding door as mentioned above. But was not a big issue for myself as I travelled alone.
The hotel is fairly close to the train station - just a couple of streets away. Location felt safe and a walking distance to eating places / restaurants. Room was adequately sized and comfortable! Just the bathroom sliding door didn't slide well but I fedback to the counter and they would have sorted it out. Nice selection of teas / coffees / hot chocolate in the room with necessities like iron / hair dryer. Overall, very good value for the price! The reception was kind and approachable as well.

Lost the wifi for a day due to maintenance and a few light fittings were broken.
Great location and very comfortable. Rone artworks on the building’s facade through the window a highlight.

The bed and pillows were awful and I slept poorly.
We stayed Tuesday-Wednesday so the bar and cafe were not open, which is fine because it’s the Valley. Very clean room and nice little courtyard

Would have been great to have the cafe open weekdays as well.

Friday night ...night club noise. ...but we went for the music so didn't mind.
Location. Heaps of pubs and restaurants very close. Train 6min walk. Very good pub next door. Just off main street...no car noise. Staff fantastic. Heaps of live music close by. Comfortable bed and choice of pillows. Black out curtains.

The bed was small.
It was nice and clean the reception staff where friendly. The best black out curtains we accidentally slept in thinking it was still night time.

I liked the location because it was close to the train station and because there were all sorts of cafes and shops around. I loved the staff - they were attentive and helpful 😊

Room was attended daily, which was great; it would have been even nicer if they quickly had vacuumed as well - but I understand that we got a long-stay deal, so definitely acceptable. The ironing board was stored under the bed; therefore the cleaning team should have had a better look down there between guests as well. :D But hey, no issue; guests will always find something to improve. The gym is quite sparsely equipped, but better than nothing. Oh, and as the hotel is in Brisbane's "entertainment district", it can be quite lively around on Friday and Saturday nights. This did not cause more noise issues than very distant music, and also not long into the night; just the streets around the hotel were very lively and busy. All in all, no real issues, and I would stay there again.
Comfy bed, modern hotel, nice shower, good bathroom. Central location, good elevator, nice and artsy design. Good "library" / conference room. Well accessible.
