There was communication with the Hotel about my colleagues booking and it was not attached to his booking which made the check in process difficult and longer than it needed to be.

Noise disturbance forced us to move rooms. 'Complimentary Mini Bar' pretty limited for the extra price. I guess overall room price is based on proximity to nightlife but sleep is a challenge as a result.

Bring back the bottles of water and lollies - nice touch, especially if you have a hangover

Have stayed here a number of times over the years and has always been such a great place to stay. In the perfect location to the top and bottom end of the valley. I have a feeling it's changed ownership - the only difference is you don't get bottles of water and lollies on arrival in your room anymore - all of the rooms used to come with that awesome little touch but other then that awesome rooms with different art throughout - Awesome it has parking now!!!! If you are staying longer, it is definitely worth upgrading to the spa room 😍

The Noise!!!

The Noise form the Night Club next door, the function Room Down Stairs and Night Club on the Roof was seriously so Loud it was ridiculous to rent the room out.

The extremely low pressure in the shower. I have long hair and basically had to skip washing it because the shampoo would not rinse out.

Right from the start our stay and experience was first class, The front office staff member Nia was outstanding, couldn’t be nicer and more welcoming. She was amazing.

DO NOT STAY HERE ON A WEEKEND IF YOU WANT TO SLEEP. I appreciate the problem is caused by a neighbouring business but the hotel should be more honest in the fact that if you stay here on a weekend you will get zero hours sleep. It might depend which room you stay in, we were in room 315 directly above the neighbouring bar. It seems to be a long term problem! Having read some online reviews at 3AM, whilst staying at the hotel due to the fact it was impossible to sleep, it appears to be a long term problem acknowledged by the hotel. Shame they still charge full price on weekend! We contacted reception and were offered ear plugs. The hotel was fully booked so we could not get another room. We were also told at check out that we are staying in fortitude valley, and to expect some noise. We wouldn’t have minded a bit of noise but the noise in our room was unbearable. I can’t fault the staff, everyone was lovely to us and the hotel is very nice otherwise, but this is not a problem the staff can expect to fix. Hotel owners need to seriously invest in adequate sound proofing. Owners should also not be charging full price on weekends for rooms that are affected. Reviews from over 2 years ago state that the hotel is looking for a long term solution to the problem….. says it all really!!
