Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThere was loud noise from work teams occurring in the rooms and corridors when we need to sleep during the day. This was as a result of damage but some offer of recompense would have been appreciated.
Well presented room and ammenities. Broken coffee machine was replaced immediately.

United KingdomI had to wait twice at reception for over 20 minutes to get a pool towel whilst receptionist was on a call (with clients). I tried to swim at 10am but there was a cleaning hose in the pool which wasn’t moved until after 3pm at which point I had missed the sun
I lived the hotel layout. Suite was compact but cleverly designed & it included everything I needed & more (washing machine/dryer). Roof top pool area was lovely & gym very adequate.

AustraliaThe spa near the pool was out of order.
The pillows were amazing. There were 3 different ones to choose from. I found my perfect pillow which is rare in a hotel. The room had a few added extras and great little kitchen and even a washing machine. Also a great bathtub to soak in after a long day sightseeing. .

United KingdomOnly tiny thing is it would have been great to be provided with a small amount of laundry soap etc. as I had to buy a whole pack just to do one wash! Not a big deal, but saves on some waste.
Really lovely hotel, great location, excellent facilities (including a washing machine which I was not expecting but was very welcome 2 weeks in to a 4 week holiday!), and really easy out of hours check in.

United StatesWe stayed here because friends lived nearby. Collingwood is a transitional neighborhood so some amenities were not available. This apartment style hotel is more appropriate for longer stays. The kitchenette was good. Not many restaurants or breakfast places nearby. (Some good bakeries) Most tourists would probably enjoy a hotel closer to central downtown and art and entertainment venues. Staff was helpful.

AustraliaFound the kitchen shelves too high, difficult to get things down.
Good location quick tram ride to the city, interesting bohemian street life, compact rooms but had all you need - oven, microwave, large fridge, DW, cooktop, washing machine and dryer, AC, opening doors, small balcony, free bikes, nice rooftop pool, spa, nice toiletries, DW powder, detergent, washing powder, friendly staff.

IcelandOur room had a small outside area, that would have been very nice to use, but it was quite dusty, like it had been forgotten
I loved the location: it is in a lively neighbourhood with many restaurants and cafes and is easily walkable from the CBD. The room was quiet.

New ZealandThe bathroom too pokey. Hard to get onto shower with the door so close to the toilet. The balcony door didn’t open and balcony too small. No windows so quite darkish.
I liked the location, the gym, the pool and spa. The bed was comfortable. Good reading lights. Love, love the laundry - did a wash and dry everyday. Great as the weather was extremely hot - 41 degrees. Good aircon.

SwitzerlandI couldn't connect with the wifi in my room on my phone, but it worked on my computer (and in the lobby on my phone). Not a major issue but I couldn't resolve it.
Veriu is in an excellent location, in the heart of Collingwood - with trams bringing you to the city in 10 minutes. The room was compact but well equipped and I used the dryer/washing machine which worked well. The gym is small but big enough for a workout. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I used one of the hotel bikes to get around - it's free of charge.

New ZealandNothing. But to note - the hotel is relatively new, so everything feels fresh and modern, but the rooms may show wear over time. While the essentials are provided, the cooking utensils aren’t the highest quality, so keep that in mind if you plan to self-cater.
Located in buzzy Collingwood, close enough to the CBD, but not in amongst it, with a wonderful community vibe. Multiple transport options are on your doorstep, making it easy to get into town. Alternatively, it’s an enjoyable walk via Fitzroy or Carlton Gardens if you prefer to explore on foot. Yes, the standard suite is compact, but it’s thoughtfully designed and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and always happy to help where they could. The pool was a great bonus—perfect for a refreshing dip. Despite a party outside one night, the glazing did an excellent job keeping things quiet inside. There are only two elevators that could be a problem, but I never had to wait longer than its return from the floor it was on. One of Collingwood’s best cafes is right next door (get in early if you want a table!), and you’re spoiled for choice with fantastic dining options on nearby Smith Street. Being in a lively suburb with a strong sense of community made the experience even better—great food, great atmosphere, and a real local feel. Highly recommend it—I'll stay again!

New ZealandVery minor stuff! the rooms might be a bit snug for more than one person, and the beds and pillows are a bit on the hard side.
Love the place, will go back if I get the chance. Lots of awesome food options around the hotel, and rooms were the best equipped I've ever been in, could even make my own meals if I should have needed to. Front desk always very helpful and kind. Rooms very well sound insulated. Awesome place.
