We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaOur (standard) room had lots of scratches in the paint work and the paint was peeling off on the ceiling in strips. It and the common areas we saw upstairs need a refresh.
The entrance foyer is beautiful. The air conditioning in the room was excellent. The rooftop has a great view. You can park very close by.

AustraliaUnderstand it is an old building, but for the price of the rates expected it not to be so run down. Badly needs a bit of a reno. Furniture is so old and tattered, couldn't even sit on the old couch to watch TV in our room, kept slipping of it🤨 We went to sit in the dining area and got told we were not allowed to sit there to have a drink. Nope unfortunately would not stay there again.

AustraliaRoom was tacky and furnished with old marked furniture that needs to be updated. Poor lighting in bathroom and no heating made it not comfortable. Tv had no reception which was disappointing as I like to unwind before sleep . For $210 in my opinion not great . On arrival we couldn’t get service for a bite to eat and had to go elsewhere. Probably the most disappointing stay In a longtime.

AustraliaStairs, although beautiful and definitely part of the character and period on the building, but with no lift, it impacts anyone with mobility issues.
On onsite restaurant had wonderful food and the room was lovely. We stayed on a extremely windy weekend and one of the windows rattled overnight, it was reported to the lovely staff , (just as a fyi, not expecting immediate attention, more for the next customer) . During the day staff attended to it and fixed it completely.
