The kitchen is super clean, they have a shuttle bus that goes every hour wich is super practical. Awsome social events, so far the best hostel I've stayed in in Australia :)

Showers and toilets were basic. Showers had no shelves to put stuff so difficult to comfortably shower. Private room had zero storage which is worth bearing in mind for longer stays. Only yoga for free activities. Not very social if you’re introverted due to lack of activities. Bikes aren’t free any more

Bed and pillows not very comfortable and was difficult to sleep with loud music and pool gate slamming all night

Fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful pool area, nice room, generous extras (surfing and yoga). Also next door to cafe which was very convenient for my morning coffees!

Amazing pool and bar area! Hostel is straight opposite a beautiful beach and the free shuttles are every hour into the town which is so helpful!

The floor was slippery in the room from mopping nearly fell over. The cheap tv did not work. Power point to high to check.Still to expensive for what you get.

Byron is expensive.

Absolutely everything. I couldn’t have asked more from the staff - especially Victoria and Augustine (the Irish ;)). The facilities were great. The room was spacious. The pool and bar were a vibe with great activities. Thanks!

Only downside would be that its quite far from everything else, free shuttle is good but runs only every hour and not at night.

One of the my fav hostels! Large rooms with aircon, beds are super comfy and they have free yoga and surfboards! Great bar and pool area, atmosphere is amazing, such a chill vibe right by the beach.

Cleanliness could have been better, for example there were stains on the sheets and dirty footmarks all over my floor. The only big minus for me was soundproofing between rooms was non existent, meaning I could hear every word of the conversations in the rooms adjoining mine, people moving in their bunk beds, phones going off etc, which didn’t make it very restful but it is a hostel so this is to be expected.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, great hostel with amazing pool area. Very high speed Wi-Fi and opposite the beach! Very spacious room which even had its own balcony.

Yoga mats smell a bit. I think the guests who used them last didn't wipe them clean properly. I think there's black mold in the bath tub.

I stayed there during high season and it was too noisy sometimes, and there were not enough space in the fridge for everyone. The sum is not to big.

The free shuttle service all day from the hostel-bus station-hostel it was great. The bar and pool look nice. The kitchen is well-equiped. The reception staff were so kind and helpful. And the free yoga clases every day are awesome!

More shuttle buses are needed in the evening if you want to go out on town to enjoy the night life

The location was right off the beach and the staff were amazing and hospitable. Fantastic hostel! Highly recommend!

We had a private room but had no storage at all. A few shelves and a clothing rail could easily fit in the room, some towel hooks for example. Otherwise excellent

It's for young people. They're noisy. Expect it, get over it. View it as lively and connected.

A 'youth' hostel with a variety of accommodation. I was lucky enough to be in one of the more expensive rooms with a private bathroom and view of the sea. It couldn't have been better. Best value and lifestyle in Byron Bay. Highly recommended.
