Quite a distance from town down a long dark road, shuttle service is offered until 9pm but if you are going to piano bar and need to walk alone it can feel unsafe. Lots of flies came up in our bathroom as soon as anyone showered, we kept washing them down the sink when possible.

Great bar with lots of events if you wished to attend. Right on beach front. Next door to lovely restaurant. Very social hostel but quiet after 10pm.

We stayed at Wake Up! Bondi and thought that this hostel would be just as social however we didn’t find it as social as we would’ve liked. Also is a bit of a trek into town although the shuttle is helpful, often takes a while to get on one. Also not much here no shops only one bar/restaurant next door.

Nice pool area , good deals with drinks and food also right next to the beach. Although this is not the main beach.

AC broken in the room, and they only offered to move to a 8 beds dorm although I paid for 4 beds. Bathroom were not clean, one restroom was blocked. Yoga classes were terrible and the mats smelled very bad! Location get from Byron bay center. Staff not helpful at all, not able to answer any of the question you may have regarding Byron bay.

Nice pool area, and bar but for the price tag of a $250/night private room, not worth the money imo. The room was incredibly small and basic. Toilets and showers were dirty, and smelt. Water pressure was non existent, and it's far away from Byron town centre.

It was way too noisy in the night. The walls of the rooms are very thin and you could hear everything. Would have been good to have some space for the clothes.

The only downside was that the mattress on my top bunk needs to be replaced. It felt like I was sleeping on the planks.

Welcoming and warm staff members. Regular shuttle buses to and from city center. Beach across the road and volleyball court. The aircon in my dorm was great. Each bed had a charging port and light set up. Common areas were well equipped. Chill and quiet areas and more social areas. The pool + bar had a great vibe. That area exceeded my expectations. Daily housekeeping in rooms was A+. Bike and surfboard hire. Daily activities on offer, including yoga each morning.

Two of the washers weren’t working so there was no way near enough laundry facilities for the amount of guests. The kitchen is also no way near big enough, I couldn’t cook my food. The staff were very apologetic but still couldn’t fix it. The shuttle bus cannot fit many people in and should either be bigger, or run more frequently

The layout was nice with the different rooms, and the pool with the bar was good. The beach nearby was very convenient and not too busy. There were lots of activities for solo travelers to get involved in

My bathroom at home is bigger than the double room supplied. The linen was old and the furniture/decor even older. Modern bathroom was supplied which was a surprise. The floors were dirty and in need of a sweep/mop. Nowhere and not enough space to even open a suitcase unless it was on the bed. And for the price paid it was a very disappointing stay. Luckily we were out of there within only a few hours of checking in, but it was not a comfortable stay by any means. Have stayed in country town motel rooms that were cleaner, larger and more value for money than this place. Would not recommend.

It is a hostel, so keep your expectations at that level, particularly regarding noise. However, noise (music) from the bar ends at 9pm which is reasonable.

Close to the beach, parking available within the complex (though I was pretty surprised to learn you mustn't park overnight outside on the street which would have been easier with my large work ute, but this is now standard for Byron). Good price for reasonable accommodation in Byron which is generally very expensive. Nice bar/restaurant right next door (Treehouse) but otherwise a bit isolated from the main town (but a lovely run/walk into town along the beach, or there is a free shuttle offered by the hostel).
