Location was good & the views & facilities where honest & pretty

Rooms were clean and comfortable, but a little outdated. The owners have just taken over and have plans to renovate the rooms in the near future, so I look forward to a return stay to see what they will have done with the property

The location overlooking American River is lovely. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and the food cooked by Owner/Chef Nicholas is amazing. Even provided a breakfast pack for me to have in my room as I had an early morning departure.

Highly recommend. Everything. Rooms are nice a big with beautiful views. Big shower with good water pressure. And the breakfast was amazing fresh fruit, cereal, toast and home made jams. They make a great coffee as well. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Parking. Steepness and steps. Hubby had recently had 2 knee replacements so found this a bit of a struggle.

Breakfast was a memorable experience, it gave our little trip such added enjoyment each morning with homemade delights, and hosts who were the best I've experienced. Friendly, personal and accommodating!! Thank you!

Nothing, the place is simpy excellent.

The place and hosts are AMAZING. True professionals of hospitality: very warm and kind people, everything they prepared was first-class or better. The place is clean and cozy, place in a nice location between Kingscote and Pennshaw (American River). There are koalas walking around! They managed to heat the room very creatively by inserting heating lights in the bathroom. There is a view of the ocean from the window, the room is very well equipped, and they even put umbrellas in the closet. The breakfast was outstanding: delicious, and the hosts did their best to listen to us and satisfy are - demanding! - requests. They were very helpful and suggested nice trips which we indeed did and were very satisfied with.

We were very happy - we have stayed in all levels of accommodation & cleanliness is paramount for us - this property is an older establishment so the rooms although clean are a little bit dated - look passed that & with busy days exploring the Island you will be comfortable. The new owners are gradually working on plans to give the property a new lease of life & have the right attitude towards their customers.

The owners of this property went over & above to make sure our stay was comfortable - we were very happy with everything - we ate our evening meal there at the restaurant for the three nights of our stay - Nicolas a qualified Chef makes delicious food including the home made breads for breakfast - coffee is great & comes with a delicious biscotti - The owners have recently acquired the business & have great plans for freshening up an older style property.

The rooms were older in style (but clean and comfortable).

The hospitality here was exceptional. The included breakfast was one of the highlights of our trip. It made Wanderers Rest excellent value.

The staff here are lovely my friend and I had a really nice stay here. On the first morning I asked for an alternative milk with my coffee that they did not have and the next day they had purchased it for me (this was in June so not a busy time where others might want it). The rooms are also lovely with spectacular views.

If I had to choose 1 thing, I’d say the bathroom door handle in our room was difficult to turn.

Loved it here. Easy accessible power points on both sides of the comfortable king bed. Warm toasty heater, even had towel warmer in bathroom. Extension lead in cupboard if needed. Very nice staff. The complimentary continental breakfast looked amazing. Absolute valley for money. 10/10

tv is a bit old and small but i have my own laptop so it’s fine

very nice and hospitality host, they make their own jam and yogurt for breakfast, potentially extend to home made bread and peanut butter, cant wait to try! we stay here due to cancellation of my ferry, but we are lucky to find this gem! nice sea view at each room. Breakfast included, sea view Room, nice host, fair price, what ever can you expect more

Floors could have been cleaner and rooms need a bit of an update.

The breakfast was great - accommodated my dietary requirements. The room service meal was really good & it will be fantastic when the restaurant re-opens. The owners were exceptionally friendly & helpful.

Rooms a little dated but I believe that the new owners are planning to upgrade them.

The location is superb with the best view directly from your window! Breakfast was great with the best preserves I’ve ever had! Very helpful owners. Glossy Black cockatoos visiting too😁
