Very nice and cosy, great little rooms with a lovely view of the river/ocean. Owners were super lovely and there was cute doggy to great you (if he was in the mood to). Super lovely breakfast with home made bread and jams. Be prepared for a stepp hill climb tho.

We loved everything about the stay.

Comfortable and well positioned room in the facility. The wonderful owners could not have been more helpful. They organised for us to charge the EV overnight given the island is still coming up to speed for the EV world. The degustation local seafood meal was absolutely superb and the breakfasts were fantastic.

Nothing, all great!

Amazing location and great service! Would highly recommend! Rooms are spacious and overlook the water, you are surrounded by nature. Around the accommodation there are a couple of trails you can walk along, and a couple of really good hotels. The owner was extremely cordial and even helped us look for the koala which is usually around the hotel. Highly recommend this stay for any relax!

The interior is a bit dated, but the rooms are well equipped. I understood from the owners they are changing the interior this year.

Everything was good but the pillow was a little bit too hard for our liking.

The staff was really nice and friendly. We asked for help a few times getting around the island and he was more than happy to help and give us lots of information. The breakfast was very nice and he even made fresh barista coffee for us. The room was big and had everything you need.

The location is beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable and had a wonderful view. We had dinner in our room. Excellent food and Nico owner and chef offered this service despite having an evening where he was serving a 7 course meal to a full restaurant. The breakfast was also excellent and was included in the room price. Lots of delicious homemade produce and fresh food. Would not hesitate to recommend this place. It is a family run business and they could not do more to make us welcome or to advise on places to visit and eat on the island. Hope to come again.

What a great stay we had at the River Suites! Nicolas and Dhea are the most welcoming hosts. Although the rooms are a bit outdated, they’re very clean and great value for money, and they’re to be upgraded soon. And not to mention Nicolas’ cooking skills were superb! His 7-course diner (only Thursday - Saturday) is unreal and very reasonably priced for the quality. Would definitely recommend and come back here!

The rooms are spacious and with a private balcony with a wonderful view, they do look a bit outdated and could use some "refreshing" (that being said, this is a minor critique and would never keep us from coming back as everything else was outstanding!)

Dhea and her husband were extraordinary hosts and put a lot love into their guesthouse. When we arrived we were shown one of the most warm and heartfelt welcomes we ever experienced! The breakfast was amazing and the breakfast/common area wonderfully styled. Unfortunately it was too cold to use the pool area, but it did look inviting neveretheless.

If there was one thing I’d say that needs to be improved, I’d suggest maybe modernising the bathroom so it’s in line with the style of the rest of the room. This isn’t a bit issue though, the bathrooms were still nice and there was hot water.

The location is good as it’s closing to Kingscote, but also to Vivonne Bay Area. Dhea and the other staff member were both very welcoming and kind people. The rooms are well kept and modern and the view from the balcony on the room was stunning, especially in the morning when the sun rises over the water. The breakfast room was so cute and neatly furnished, there was also a pool which we didn’t use but was nice to know there was one there if we wanted to use it. I wanted to make my last night with my boyfriend special so I asked for a bottle of wine to be put in the room to which Dhea did for me. The last place I stayed at didn’t do this for me even though they said they would. I’m so grateful for everything they did for us and I highly recommend staying here.

A bit dated, but that didn't bother us. The hosts are doing a great job improving the place and we wish them well for the future.

The hosts were lovely and very helpful to us. The room was spacious and comfortable and the view from.the deck was beautiful. We even had visits from the endangered black cocktails in the trees just outside, which was very special.
