Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaShower is old and fiddly to get to temperature. Not a huge amount of space between cabins so hopefully you have quiet neighbours.
Great, well appointed little cabins in Wonboyn. We were there to duck some rain while camping nearby and appreciated the full kitchen, fridge, comfortable beds, range of birds and animals and the friendly staff - would stay here again, great value.

AustraliaWhen booking via Booking.com I mentioned I was bringing a pet. The staff replied back to Bookimg.com regarding a $30 fee for the pet. I did not see this message or get notification of the message. I would not have confirmed the booking had I been made aware of the $30 fee which, for a ONE night stay, seems excessive. What does this cover over and above any usual cleaning? I feel the staff rely on people not seeing the message on Booking.com as this happens after the booking is confirm3 and paid for, why not be upfront on the cost in the property description?
Accomodation was clean.

AustraliaWe couldn't get the BBQ going but that was probably our fault?
Location was a short stroll to a lakeside jetty. We hired a boat to explore the lake through our accomodation which was great. Our cabin (2C) was comfortable. The kitchen was renovated, comfortable & well equipped. There was a step down to an older bathroom that could use some updating but it was OK with a good shower. An outside dining area was pleasant too. Luke was very helpful with boat hire, getting our TV working and selling bird seed. We really enjoyed Wonboyn and being amongst all the birds, kangaroos etc.

AustraliaBedside lights would be great. I tried to watch something on the TV one night but couldn't figure out the remotes. I didn't like that I had to leave.
The peace and quiet was just what I needed. My cats were welcome. Coffee in the morning was very welcome. I arrived after dark, and checking in was easy.

AustraliaWe booked a cabin for four adults & you expect to have four of knives, forks, spoons, plates etc but this was not the case. If we stayed longer I would have asked for the correct amount of items/utensils. Broken leg support for heater but heater worked.
Cabin was close to family

AustraliaNot given a key to the residence, on check in or through out. I would not pick the residence for summer stays as it backs onto the office and next to the pool area which would be busy. Other than that I do love my winter stays here.
It's a nice little Gettaway from the city. second time I have been to Wonboyn at this time of the year, its quite, very quite, I could only imagine what its like in the summer, busy busy. Pillows where amazing!

AustraliaBring a torch if you arrive after dark as the car parking area and the walking path to the office and the cabin is very poorly lit. The operation of the air condition / heater is rather tricky. An operating instruction would be most helpful (none was provided).

AustraliaThe bathroom could do with some modernising - pipes a bit rusty, sink taps a little short, some additional shelves, upgrade to the shower rose. Internet connection was poor. A comfortable stay nonetheless. 🙂
Stunning location, helpful and friendly staff, peace and quiet, bush setting, best oysters, good kitchen.

AustraliaAs soon as we made it, we have seen a kangaroo on the site. He is so used to visitors and wouldn't run away from them. We saw many Liar birds and we saw a Deer in the state forest. The sunset was gorgeous.
It is a beautiful place to visit. It has many walks and you can practice many water activities depends on what you want to do. Dive, swim, fish or paddle.

AustraliaThe road to Greenglade beach in our low sitting 2 wheel drive. We did not dare try Baycliff road. You can't really walk anywhere from the holiday park except the boat jetty.
Our flat was spacious and comfortable. The natural wood made me feel right at home. I was amazed at all the wildlife, including the lyrebirds, king parrots, bower birds, lorikeets, goanna, kangaroos. The hamburgers were delicious.

AustraliaWish we could have stayed longer. It's very far from where we live but definitely will be back.
Stayed during Christmas break in this family-run caravan park and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. The park itself was very well kept and maintained. The cabin we stayed in was also very nice, quiet with great views of the surrounding forest. The caravan park was located close to both a river and a beach, which made it easy for us to explore the surrounding area. We even tried hiring a boat, which was a lot of fun. We also had the opportunity to cycle to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen in Australia. There is also an evening food truck run by them which offers delicious food and the best oysters. But the real standout for me was the people. Everyone we encountered at the park was friendly and welcoming, which made our stay that much more enjoyable. I only wish we could have stayed longer to fully experience all that the park had to offer. Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

United KingdomBasic but fine, nothing to dislike.
Spacious, clean cosy cabin. Plenty of bird life around to watch and listen to. Great for fishing, if thats your thing. It's off grid, in that WiFi signal not available/didn't reach to all cabins. When it rained the TV signal went alobg with any remaining wifi, so bring books, cards or games to occupy!. The water from hot taps is grey water from when it rains so not tested or drinkable. Bring water or drinks of choice. The hot tap on arrival gave out muddy water initially but this cleared after a few seconds. Nature walks on your doorstep, good 5km walk to beach through a forest. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Even gave me a small bag of seed to feed the parrots and parakeets! Was in my element!

AzerbaijanThe weather but then that's down to God and the fact it was the middle of winter.
Location was perfect. Beautiful surroundings and really well kept campsite. The lake is wonderful and the nearby beach is pristine and isolated. The campsite itself is in an idyllic setting. The accomodation is good and the management are friendly and really helpful. Do try the oysters - astonishing. Wish we'd tried the burgers.
