Best accommodation place in Hobart. Close to city. Sandy Bay has everything.. Casino $$$..haha. Phillipa is the best. She always has a smile and helpful person.

Although booked on Booking.com for 2 beds in the room was given a room with only one bed. Check in for casino rooms and motor inn is done at the casino, but this is not clear. Spent time walking around looking for motor inn reception.

Easy to get taxis, central to city, Salamanca market. Staff very helpful.

If you are a massive gym rat, they do offer a gym- however, don’t expect too much equipment. They have the bare necessities, with one squat rack- however no room to do deadlifts or any major lifts. However, if you want to use free weights they have all dumbbell weights up to 30kg

It was just an amazing stay with some wonderful views on level 16! The beds were som comfortable!

The location in terms of the view was excellent. Check-in staff was very helpful and attentive.

The views from the King Suite were amazing and so worth it. The room was spacious and clean. Something else of note was the walk-in space and incredible bathroom. There were many places to dine, and the location was stunning overall, with a short drive to the city centre.

I don't usually write in this 'box' but this time, we had a few concerns: Slow check in. Option to check in early wasn't available by even an hour, at actual check in. If we had known, or if that was offered to us (which it wasn't) beforehand, it would cost an extra 40.00 for only an hour. But on this day, the front desk staff said they could not/would not offer early check in and the front desk staff member, literally refused and would not call housekeeping staff to see if early check in was even possible. Water bottles in most hotels of this caliber are usually free (at least the first 2 are). Not Wrest. Cost extra. When front desk was asked about this at check out, we were told that Hobart water from tap is clean and fine to drink. Bottles are extra. Well that's good to know, I hope all the tap water is fine to drink from the tap in Hobart city...and Australia! It's not that we are new to finer hotels...guess for the price, we expected some similarities and assist, since our errors were due to lack of staff communication upon check in. If you want your room cleaned you have to put up the 'clean my room sign". This is fine overall, except this was not mentioned to us at check in. Most hotels of this caliber, do daily tidy/clean unless you state otherwise or you have the 'do not disturb' sign on the door. I get that each hotel has there own rules however notification when checking in would be appreciated. But, in our opinion, at the price paid, daily housekeeping should be a given and not a 'request;'. There was a terrible 'urine' smell at the entry of the parking lot as you walk into it from the hotel front door the entire time we stayed there. Mentioned this to staff first day but nothing was done. Perhaps they could have used some of that clean water from the tap to wash it away early on rather then waiting for it to fester and permeate the air.

All good overall. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for us. We stayed 3 nights.
