Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

The hostel is well located and well maintained, the room I had was small but I had everything I needed for my stay. Miran and his family are great hosts and I really enjoyed hearing about their life in Mostar. I highly recommend taking the tour they offer of great sights of Herzegovina and important history of the war.

Thanks to Miran and his wife for an unforgettable stay! Great atmosphere in the house. A breakfast that is far above the hostel standard. And Miran's tour is an absolute must!

just a walk away from the bus station/train station. they upgraded my booking from bunk bed to private room for both of the night that i stayed there. thank you so much. met the host Miran the next day who is very nice. you will feel like family here. i did the 55euro tour that organized by the hostel and the family prepared a very big breakfast for us. the tour is also very informative and fun. Miran told us a lot about the history of his family and the city. I learned a lot. Totally recommended this hostel and taking the tour.

Everything! Miran and his whole family are so kind. It felt like home, this place is NOT meant to be a party hostel so don't come here with that intention. Come here if you are looking to feel apart of Miran's family and give them that respect. A short walk from the train station, bus station, and the city center. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Great breakfast. They also upgraded our room because there was an issue with the AC and we were so thankful for this. Our room was comfortable and perfect. The tour they offer is an excellent way to see the area and hear first hand experiences of the war. Thank you for sharing your home and your stories with us, Miran!

ArgentinaThe hostel is great! Good location, 5mins walk from the bus station, and close to the entrance to the Old Town. It has good facilities, kitchen, bathroom. Miran’s mother and brother were gracious hosts and looked after me well. I did the full Herzegovina tour with Esmer, Miran’s cousin, and loved it. Esmer was a great guide and shared openly about the history of his hometown and his own family. The only thing I was disappointed with was not being able to meet the man himself who everyone talks about so kindly, as Miran was on holiday (well-deserved of course!). I guess I will just have to go back! Mostar is beautiful, highly recommend you spend a few days at the hostel to get to know the town.

GermanyThe gracious host Miran, who seems to be enjoying his job very much, offered us to stay in one of his apartments instead of the dorm without any extra cost after we arrived in Mostar very early in the morning. That gave us the wonderful opportunity of getting some sleep, which we highly appreciated.

I wasn't expecting breakfast to be laid out, so that was a very pleasant surprise. Miran is the type of person who always knows a guy and has a very useful hook-up for whatever you want to do in Bosnia. He's an amazing guy and goes to great lengths to make sure you have not only a good stay at the hostel but a good experience in Mostar too. His tour is highly interesting and he has a lot of rich history to tell. Would highly recommend him and his place!

AustraliaWhen I arrived, I was greeted by Maja, Miran’s wife and informed there was an issue with the A/C in the private room so they placed me in their other accomodation at no extra charge. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Check in/check out was easy, there is a tour Miran runs daily I recommend to do and we all had a delicious breakfast together beforehand, very grateful to share the day with a great group of people. Miran shared with us his favourite Balkans songs between destinations and also about personal his experience in the war. Mostar is a beautiful place and this is centrally located to experience it - due to staying at a different accom, I cannot comment on the facilities of the hostel due to being in the other accomodation however the hostel seemed clean there when I went. Ahead of arrival, communication was seamless as well.

AustraliaIt was great, but if I had to nit-pick, a bedside lamp would have been handy.
This beautifully quiet and welcoming hostel, was located just beyond the hustle of main old town streets. The staff were super welcoming and it felt more like a home than a hostel. It is very much a chilled hostel and not a party one, so very happy for change of pace.

New ZealandThe hostel was very small and not a very social one but that seems to be the norm for the hostels in this area, just a cosy place to stay if that’s what you’re looking for.
The beds were clean and comfortable, there was a mirror and a desk in our room which were handy to have and air-conditioning. The breakfast was also really nice. It was an easy walk to the town and to see the Mostar bridge.
