Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesEverything was fine.
Charming and unique hotel in great location for exploring Old Town Sarajevo (and beyond). Room was spacious and comfortable, breakfast tasty and satisfying, and staff personable and attentive. And the hamam was super for taking a relaxing break from sightseeing. We would definitely stay here on a future visit to Sarajevo.

United KingdomThe only slight downside is that the hammam has different times for men and women, means your partner might have to wait around for you if you want to use it!
This is a lovely, unique hotel with just a handful of rooms. The staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was tasty and the room was comfortable and clean. The highlight was the location, the old town of Sarajevo is only a few minutes walk away! We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay again.

AustraliaA mini fridge in the room would of been nice- not essential though
We absolutely loved everything about staying at Isa Begov Hotel, including the friendly, helpful and courteous staff (Cooks, Cleaners, Reception and management); the perfect location for exploring Sarajevo, just across the Old Town. Breakfast was tasty and used only fresh ingredients. The room was spacious and cleaned every day; access to a Haman (old Turkish bath) included as part of the stay offers great value and relaxation.

NetherlandsNothing... except parking is limited & the street behind the hotel is a dual carriage way lacking any signs to inform you of that fact. So we parked there, like most other local cars had, only to get a parking ticket. It was to say a little disappointing to be so ill-informed, but hey, we took it on the chin. Obviously, the city needs the money...to eventually put a sign on the street. : (
The old-world elegance of Begov Hamam Hotel is possibly one of its most appealing features to a nomadic couple such as us. It was the perfect stay on our last night in Sarejevo before we legged it back to the hustle & bustle of our home city. The Hamam, massage parlour & breakfast are highlights, not forgetting its location in the old centre of town near the latin bridge, superb.

United StatesI wanted to buy a bottle of sparkling water and was told that….tap water is very good ,which was true but I cannot accept the fact that in 2024 a hotel cannot satisfy such a basic request.

United KingdomOur room, like many, faced directly onto the road - feet away from the traffic and pedestrians. The windows were well soundproofed, but we found it impossible to have them open without loud noise from the passing cars disturbing us.
This is very special hotel and hamman with deep history. The traditional bedroom was clean and comfortable, with a big bathroom featuring a good shower. There is an attractive wood panelled seating area at the front of the hotel where you can relax quietly and take a tea of coffee. The hotel is right in the centre of the old town yet far enough away from the busiest areas to be relaxing. Breakfast was included and was very tasty, served in a nice dining room. Staff were present and helpful. We did not get a chance to use the hamman, but if you stay here try to!

HungaryThe next morning staff (at breakfast and at the reception) was not nearly as outstanding as the one in the evening.
It's a beautifully restored hammam converted into an amazing hotel (and hammam). The guy at the reception who we met when we arrived was exceptionally welcoming and nice.
