We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe AC/Heater didn’t quite reach accurate temperatures, the warmer wasn’t operational, and the hamam hours for women are restricted to mornings.
I love the old architecture and furnishings. it’s quaint and quiet with exceptional staff. I don’t know how to spell his name, but Sunar went out of his way to help whenever he could, and he did so with a huge smile on his face. The breakfast was fabulous!

PolandNothing I could think of. Even if I tried really hard. Maybe the room could be a bit bigger, but this is really an insignificant detail.
The stay was exceptional. Breakfasts are more that you could wish for and you can try many local delicatessen in this way. The receptionists are super helpful. The main attraction for us was hammam and the massage we ordered- it was one of the best experiences of my life. It is really worth its price. Also because it is 5 minutes away on foot from anything in the Old Town.

United KingdomThe room was disappointing. Broken door into bathroom and damp ingress on wall Wallpaper coming off wall and evidence of damp on the plaster. Asked re parking via email prior to stay and was told it would be dependant on availability. When arrived and asked I was advised that it had to be booked in advance and that I was told this by email. This was not the case. Later on in day we witnessed some other guest checking in and the same man on reception told her although they had no space they could see what he could do outside the hotel and went outside with her to direct her to park directly on street outside hotel Entrance. Totally different from what he told us or how he treated us. Totally unacceptable really The response from hotel to this review was that the other guest had booked earlier. I am unaware of this but what I know was that when I emailed hotel about parking was told it was subject to availability. Not what I was told when I arrived I was told that I had to book. How could I book If it was subject to availability ? How did other guest book a space ? I was neither told st any time that I could park outside hotel we were told that it had been explained to me that I had to book and it was impossible to park in hotels space. This is clearly unacceptable to be treated differently from other guests.

NorwayI requested a quiet room, and my room was three meters from the street. The hotel should have told me that the quiet room was not available. Instead, they said nothing, accepted the booking, and we only found out when we got there. People walked by my window and I could hear them talking.
Breakfast was ok, a little repetitive. I was unfortunate that I had diarrhea on my second day after breakfast.

TurkeyThe room was different than the photos, so we paid extra to change the room, we were told that the room photos on the hotel profile is belong to their premium room, this was a bit disappointing. There was complimentary biscuits on the table, but they were not in a covered pack, all open, I have never been sure how long they have been waiting for on the table. TV channels were not enough. There was a kettle but we needed to check tea bag and coffee all the time, they should have refresh them regularly. Breakfast was a bit below our expectations.
Location is nice and quiet but really central. The room was big. Hamam was a good experience, Hamam staff was helpfull and friendly.

United StatesBreakfast could be greatly improved and ends a bit early, the staff were not the friendliest for that experience. The baths area needs a bit of a deep clean and small renovation. It feels like it’s become a bit run down over the last few years but was still enjoyable. The room was comfortable but not outstanding. The staff seemed a little lackadaisical. But were mostly helpful.
The hotel is located in a very historic and beautiful building, the restored baths are worth visiting for the architecture alone. Location of the hotel is excellent. I always prefer historic hotels over modern new facilities for the atmosphere, and this hotel meets the requirements.

United StatesThe entire facade was covered up for repairs, so on arrival hotel had no character and did not look like photo. Room (single bed garden view) was very odd shaped, it was cold. They brought us an electric heater. One bed had NO plugs or side table, the other twin bed had 5 plugs. Room was a long rectangle, ackward shape. Spa was not very hot.

CroatiaI think they could work on breakfasts; get a proper expresso machine with local beans& offer expressos, cappucinos etc. Also offer their domestic coffee. The bread assortment needs work too. You have great pastries everyegere. Maybe local jans? Mini bars are empty. Don't offer a kettle bet then offer 2 sachets of Nescafe- put some care in.
I thought the staff were delightful. Very helpful. We had a great room with authentic charm. Our friends room, at almost the same price was much smaller. But still charming.

SwedenI think the place is over priced. We paid 103 euro for one night and the standard isn't high enough comparing to other hotels in the same price range in Sarajevo. The breakfast was very strange and we actually had to leave and buy breakfast outside instead, there was no buffet and very limited options.
The location is great, super close to the old town with lots of restaurants etc. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

United KingdomOur rooms were at front of hotel on ground floor and we would not recommend these. Cars park along pavement on this side and most of the time, you will have a car parked right up against your window. The breakfast is quite limited.
Hotel is in a good location and is very pleasant on the inside. Staff are very helpful and professional. Rooms are comfortable.

AustraliaThe room was very dim and old fashioned. The window is right on the street so no privacy if you open the curtains. There was something that looked like a fridge in the room but it made a loud beeping and didn't work so we were advised to unplug it. The baths were ok, but cleaning materials, mops sitting around - could be a bit tidier.
The receptionist and the breakfast team were very friendly. The location is good for visiting the old town area.

IrelandThe room was quite dark faced out onto the busy street with traffic whizzing by. The weekday receptionist was not overly helpful when we needed help with that car on the first day. He often showed very little interest in helping or giving advise. The evening receptionist on the other hand was extremely pleasant and helpful. We booked massages in the hamam spa and I found it quite disappointing. We booked them afternoon before and when we turned up the next morning they didn’t really seem to have anything written down etc. there was very little guidance once you got in there around procedures etc. I had a ‘Lumi Lumi’ massage and although the masseuse did a good job it was far from a relaxing spa experience. People were constantly coming in and out and having concerns while I was trying to switch off and relax. The door to the spa reception was left open so I could her everyone else’s complaints/queries. The bed was old and tired with ripped leather which was not the most comfortable to lie on. My mother had a hamam and a massage but the massage was given on a slatted wooden bench again not very conducive to relaxing.
The location to and from the old town etc was great.

AustriaThe hotel is situated right next to quite a busy road which means rooms on the ground floor (majority) hear traffic and it was difficult to sleep due to constant traffic noise and vibrations. The room often got super humid and hot and the ac did not work and the extractor fan in the bathroom was broken. The mini fridge also only reached a temp of 12 degrees so nothibg stayed very cold in there. The scrub treatments in the hammam were overpriced so check out some of the other spas that are cheaper. The
The location is perfect for getting to the old quarter easily and other attractions. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The hammam is one of the oldest reconstructed in BiH which is interesting. Breakfast was good but would be good to offer sweet options like baklava or croissants.

AustriaThe hammam was very basic. I would not even call that a true hammam. The wet sauna was weak, sincerely nothing special. The hammam decoration is mostly fake from the walls decorated with plastic paper wall to the plastic decorations everywhere. No attention to the smells, just blunt cleaning smell and clore from disinfected water. Not worth to pay the extra because of the hammam
The confort and location were the highlights. Nice old stile decoration was nice to have. The breakfast was delicious and very complete.
