The bathrooms had multiple sinks for multiple users which was convenient but only one shower with a glass door, so the bathrooms were unusable if someone was showering. There were only two of these bathrooms (both with shower and sinks) for the whole hostel. It didn’t end up being a problem with my timing, but it easily could have been if many people are getting ready at the same time.

Nice big beds, comfy, they give you a comforter as well! The big room stays cooler than the little rooms.

I had the impression of sharing the appartment with the community of people who run the hostel. They often hang around the messy kitchen. The 2 bathrooms need constant cleaning. My room (the 4 mixed bedrooms) was quite small, not advisable for claustrophobic. They ask to remove your shoes and put the sleepers they provide (it is the first time that happened to be told so).

Location is perfect, in the heart of Sarajevo. Good size and comfy bed. Chance to wash your clothes in the washing machine and hang them. Luggage storage for free. Very responsive online.

The payment was a bit confusing. Neither euros were accepted nor bank cards. Only cash without a receipt. The rooms were really bright full of sunshine. It wasn’t dark at all early in the morning and my sleep was affected.

The staff helped me with the check-in since I arrived late in the city. Tue a/c was really powerful and the room was cool enough. The kitchen was and toilets were ok as well.

The apartment is on the 4th floor and just take note that there is no lift.

Location is very convenient as it's close to the old town and tram station, room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Good price too.

Because it's so centrally located, you can hear all the people who decide to loudly enjoy Sarajevo at night. That being said, the hostel itself has quiet hours (in the kitchen from 22:00-10:00). This is good for those sleeping in the room across from the kitchen. If you needed to leave earlier and want to cook something, maybe ask for an exception to be made.

The hostel was clean, quiet and is located on a pedestrian street. Visiting musuems and other historical sites are within a comfortable walking distance from JOY Apartment. The showers and washrooms are spacious and modern and the beds are quiet pleasant to sleep and relax on.

Joy is a very nice guy that makes u feel at home. Tea and coffee are for free! And the location is awesome. He has already ideas and vision of how to make the hostel better, so good way to spend some nights in Sarajevo!

Could do with A/C in the room (3 bed shared room) Access could be easier with key pad or fob entry. (No issue as a guest, but would save staff having to be present at all hours to let people in) Will be a better place to relax once the communal area/dining table and chairs are in place. Needs staff to take the pressure off and allow himself some free time.

Very modern place, right in the heart of the main areas. Good size beds, very comfortable, very clean, nice sized bathrooms with nice shower. Modern kitchen with all the facilities needed. Host was very nice.

Just some things that a hostel should have to make travellers more content with their stay. I drew the owner's attention to these things and he agreed to make it better.

It is a brand new hostel in the heart of Sarajevo with exellent facilities for a traveller. The owner is very helpful. The kitchen, the bathroom is luxurious for this level. More than a good value. Highly recommend.

It was a very pleasant trip. The hotel is very centrally located, easy to find, and convenient to go everywhere. The mattress is very comfortable, the kitchen is large, and I had a great time.

The surprise upgrade offer, based on room availability, was a thoughtful gesture that made us incredibly happy. Even though it wasn’t something we initially sought, staying here with my friends truly felt like being at home. The local tea offered by the staff was a lovely touch, and their commitment to cleanliness was genuinely commendable. Everything was spotless and well-organized, which added to our comfort. We stayed for about a week and enjoyed every moment of it. The hotel’s location was another major advantage; being close to bus and tram stops made exploring the country incredibly easy. Although the snowfall on our first day seemed like a bit of bad luck, the hotel’s cozy atmosphere warmed both our hearts and spirits.
