Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe only stayed one night and didn't explore the area. Hotel on South West of the island in a residential area and therefore with only a few tourist attractions. This didn't bothers and an ideal place for peace and relaxation.
A chic hotel, and very comfortable. Only 6 rooms and not overrun with hordes of guests. Anne Marie and Ameena very attentive, helpful and nothing too much bother. Food cooked to order. Certainly have no hesitation to recommend this hotel particularly for stop to/from main holiday destination.

United KingdomIn the room was a so-called coffee corner. True, there was a cafetiare, but no coffee and no kettle to boil the water. Oddly, there was also a teapot, jug, and one teacup - just saying!
Very friendly staff/owners. Excellent swimming pool and the grounds generally. As our flight was not until the evening they were happy for us to use all the facilities all day, which was very convenient for us. Rooms quirky, but very comfortable and spacious. A very nice hotel - oddly situated, but close(ish) to the airport.

United KingdomAmeena was the perfect host and Hidden Gem is exactly that. Clean, bright, well appointed rooms and a fresh cooked breakfast in their lovely kitchen. A nice relaxing pool and bar area that was perfect for a chill out day. About 10-15 minutes from Lawrence Gap and Oistins, so an ideal location at an affordable price. It is very local here, with Buffys Bar close by, which includes a minimart. We had the fried fish and a couple of beers and we really felt part of the local community. Everyone at the bar was really friendly and made us feel very welcome.

United KingdomWe needed a stopover close to the airport, this was one of the few that did this. Breakfast was great, freshly prepared, room was colourful and comfortable, with the necessary amenities. Even went for an early morning swim in the pool. 50 yds walk you’re at the sea with beautiful views of the coast line, the sun rising and waves splashing against the rocks. Hosts were friendly and helpful, can’t fault this for what we wanted. Superb.

MaltaThe location made walking to nearby restaurants very limited. But if you have a vehicle being out of the busy areas would please a lot of people.
Every room was uniquely decorated and spacious. The common areas were excellent and again decorated well. We liked that we could get our own drinks and everything was so chill.

CanadaUnfortunately, the location is out of the way. You would need a car. And to be fair, the roads are in rough shape, so if you hire a car, beware of the pot hole. On the other hand, I guess that's what it was about. A hidden gem away from the hustle and bustle
The attention to detail was impressive. It was well stocked. The pool was clean, cleaned sun beds, nice smelling towels, and soft. The host, Ameena, was incredible. Nothing was a problem. She drove us into Oistins for dinner and drove us home. We didn't have enough cash, so we went to go to the ATM, but she just gave us the money and then drove us to the ATM. Who does that? Breakfast was what you would like, I had eggs with toast, not a hard meal to whip up but done with care. We asked her lots of questions about the island, and she had all the answers. If we come back we will stay there for some time. All because of our experience. Thank you. Caroline and Debbie

United KingdomI thought that the airport pickup and drop off was a bit overpriced at 25USD paid to the driver, it is only a 10 minute drive from the airport to the accommodation.
Great little place with only 5 rooms and a small private swimming pool. More like staying in someone's luxury home (you need to take your shoes off at the door to go in). I chose a bedroom on the ground floor with direct access and view of the swimming pool, which was lovely to have. The pool area is awesome with even has sunshades strung above it so you can always find some shade even when you are in the pool. At the end of the pool there is a comfy shaded seating area with sofas and also a large fully stocked bar, with beers, spirits, wines and mixers. The bar largely operated on an honesty system, and you were free to pour yourself a drink or take a beer from the fridge at any time. They also made up fresh rum punch on a couple of days. Breakfast was made to order and was very good.

United KingdomNot a lot beach was a walk not on doorstep but that is small issue compared to the overall package
Booked very last minute as already on the island. Arrived 3 hours after booking. Anne Marie and Meena could not have been more welcoming. From the fantastic relaxed atmosphere and the spotlessly clean environment to Meenas fantastic omelettes I could go on and on. Hidden Gem should be hidden Paradise. Would highly recommend if you want a small quiet relaxed stay. Will most definitely be staying again

SwitzerlandNot clear if we could use the kitchen (we couldn't). A bit out of the way so need a taxi / bus to go to Oistins or Bridgetown (though bus stops are only a few mins walk and are frequent).
Quite chic. Very lovely pool. Nice outside space upstairs and downstairs. Friendly owner.

SwitzerlandThe only improvement needed was the loose toilet seat, which will be fixed. For my personal opinion, it would be perfect if the different pillows (there are several on the bed) would be different in firm/softness (like one firm, one a bit softer).
Very very friendly welcoming and throughout my stay, there was a continuously wonderful atmosphere at the hidden gem. I got all the information I asked for and even a perfect recommendation on my first day, being exhausted but willing to explore the area a bit. The rooms and house overall was perfectly decorated with lots of small details, that differs completely from the usual hotel complexes, where most rooms look the same. The patio with pool and bar is very comfortable and let‘s you relax or plan your day. Strong, fast wifi all over the property, very clean.

United KingdomIt’s quite tricky to find ……. Hidden Gem is an accurate description. The roads around there are truly terrible , so if you are driving be careful to avoid the craters !
Lovely breakfast , although a little expensive at US $25 pp Pool and seating area, with self-serve bar, is a great set up. The local pub / bar is very friendly. Drinks are cheap and the food is good. Worth a visit

United KingdomHidden Gem is by the sea - you can see it and hear it from the upper verandah but not on an accessible beach. It is a bit of a walk to get to one. It does have a lovely pool though with lots of shade. You will need a car or a helpful taxi driver as we did.
Hidden Gem was a lovely place - beautifully maintained and great attention to detail. Ameena could not have been more helpful and prepares a great breakfast. She sorted out all sorts of things for us and made us very welcome.

United KingdomAs other reviews have said, it’s a bit isolated so you have to use the buses (which are good and easy to catch nearby) or have a car if you want to get around and for most dining options.
An absolutely beautiful property - gorgeous decoration. Great pool. Very friendly and helpful owners/staff.
