Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Big construction is continuing on the neighboring street, all works start at 6-7 am, so too noisy and petrol smell
Personnel is open and helpful, apartments equipped the most necesary kitchen things. Location is close to the city centre, as a historical as a modern, very convenient to the transport lines, a lot of cafes and restaurants

price-quality. for 230€ per night the facilities were very basic, with no breakfast nor complementary coffee. not to mention that the hotel charges 15€ cleaning fee, which was not even available on Saturday.
the property was accessible for the wheelchair.

Breakfast is average. Our room was on the ground floor, which is actually in the semi- basement, and for 4 persons is a bit small.
Personnel is excellent. Location is very good, between the city center and EU. Nice beds, mattresses and generally very clean. The bathroom is OK.

Seems a bit pricey to me
This was our first visit to Belgium. We loved the hotel, most attractions and museums within walking distance. Good room, good breakfast and excellent staff. Thank you!

More emptying of bins in room, even if sheets couldn’t be changed.
The overworked staff were amazing, helping us to cook the food we’d bought, as the provided, shared oven was not good. They were on hand with a smile to answer all queries.

There was constant jack hammering outside our window, which is not their fault because Brussels is constantly under construction. it was interesting to watch the building behind us be demolished. Also, there was no wash cloth, which seemed wasteful of the squeeze soap to wash with hands. The kitchen was stocked but with nothing to dry the dishes. Paper towels or dish towel??
The staff was lovely and the facility was comfortable and clean.

It is a bit pricey. Rest, all good!
The location is just perfect. Right into the European district; the EU parliament is within walking distance. In addition, most of the attractions in the city (center) can be reached on on-foot (15-25 mins walk). I find the establishment clean, the staff helpful, and the room small yet comes with all the basic amenities.

The room we ordered was 33 m2 with extra sofa bed. That was suitable for the two of us. I suggest that to have some space!

As Brussels is growing new buildings are emerging...there is a lot of construction underway in the town and the building site right next to the hotel caused quite some noise.
Breakfast was excellent and the coffee simply amazing :-) I liked the surroundings of the hotel with a few small parks and plenty of shops and bistros/restaurants. Very conveniently located between the European quarter and the Old Town of Brussels with the Airport line bus stop just around the corner.

This is just a suggestion, not an actual dislike. In the shower space is really needed a handle to get in and out, not all of us are young 🙂!

It wasn’t well equipped as a kitchen, very little space to wash dishes without spilling water everywhere and nothing to dry dishes with. The bed wasn’t very comfortable.
The location was easy to find, within walking distance of public transport and approx 20 min walk from city sights. The apartment was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Supermarket close by.
