Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

bad internet connectivity to diverse devices, staff not able to resolve it and things got stolen from the room in the hours after check out at my return they could not find the thing I forgot in the room

Nothing as such.
Good location, really nice staff and the way they addressed all the queries I had, I really appreciate. It's a nice cozy place but with sufficient space. Facilities were nice, and bed was comfortable. Bed is queen size but was sufficient for us. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back.

The staff was very friendly and professional, they did everything to make us feel awesome on our special occasion :) The room we booked was supposed to have a balcony, but all of those were taken so instead we got one with a huge roof terrace, which was even better. Awesome place!

The staff is very friendly and highly professional as always. The hotel has been refurbished since my last stay, and the new floors and furniture have made it so much nicer and more comfortable. Construction works in the backyard are finished, so the area is nice and quiet now.

Staff is extremely kind and professional, all services are great, felt like home, plus there is a such a nice and clean little courtyard in front of the hotel where it is very nice to make a break and have a coffee, which is surely of an added value.

Booking should mention in the description that "payment is to be made at check-in, not on the last day of stay"....the guests should be prepared with money on the very first day...

Everything from the reception to the room was amazing. me and my husband and Son felt very comfortable and im so glad we had a Cot for baby to enjoy his sleep. Room very clean and had Everything we needed from kitchen to bedroom to bathroom. Best experience at a hotel while visiting family in Brussels. Staff accommodated us well by giving us extra Heater for the room for baby room temperature and we well all comfortable and happy throughout our stay. My hotel to go to anytime I return to visit family 😁

Staff were not friendly helped very little. Coffee should have been complimentary. The worse thing in the room is the cupboard over the stove. The cornor of the cupboard needs to be padded. I hit my head badly on it a couple times when cooking. Very dangerous.

The room for 3/4 people have the main bed and sofa in the same room.
Excellent and comfortable room and beds, big and the bathroom is clean and big. Some rooms have a bath and is really cool to relax after a long walking.

Nothing - it was perfect for me.
The pictures of the small studio looked really good on the website, but in reality it was so much better. More spacious than I expected. The bathroom was great. It was warm and comfortable. Reception staff were really helpful and super friendly without being over the top - just really professional. It's a great location - easy walking distance into the centre, 2 mns from metro and very quiet.

Spacious and had all the essentials needed. Very happy that me and my family could refill our bottles at the lobby as well. Room was clean and we had a very comfortable stay. We stayed as a small family group of 3 and it was very enjoyable. Was not a far walk from the train station as well.

We were there for New Year's Eve. The heating did not function in our room, we also ran out of hot water after one of us showered. The staff at the reception could not help because none of the technicians were on duty and this really ruined our night.
The location of the hotel and the rooms were both good. The reception staff are friendly.
