Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

the room was not very clean and there was dust on the floor. the bed was not very comfortable.
the location is great for a vistit in Antwerp. the room was very spacious and the breakfast had a good range of options.

I really wish the check-in could be atleast a few hours earlier. Would love if they provided slippers in the room. The price was okay I guess.
Very friendly staff. Huge breakfast buffet with great options, even vegan. OK location. The rooms were pretty clean and simple.

While I was expecting simplicity in a hostel, what I found was below any other hostel experience I had. The building itself is extremely bleak: everything is grey, rooms are scarcely decorated, there is very little greenery and in general the impression is that there is no effort at all in making your stay pleasant. Breakfast is included, but very limited and of standard quality.
The location is very good and central, even though not in the most beautiful part of the city. Surroundings are fine, and the price is affordable. Staff is friendly enough.

Room was so cold I slept with my jacket, no sheet for blankets, you should press the showers button to use it within every 10 seconds

No hot water in the shower. They didn’t fix it until check-out. There’s no heat in the rooms because it’s “not time yet”.
Breakfast has a lot of options, it was good. There’s a group playing board games on Saturday nights. Staff was kind and helpful. The beds are comfortable even though they look bad.

Woodlice on the floor
Location was good and staff was friendly! Peace and quiet - that's what you need after your adventures 🙂 small breakfast was included which was a pleasant surprise

Nothing comes to my mind.
The location of the hotel is quite nice. You need to take a walk from the underground line, so that's something that should be considered. The surrounding area is very nice and quiet. Breakfast was ok - it was a standard option with toasts, tea/coffee, but let's you start the day strong.

The floor in the private room was not cleaned properly. For breakfast you only find bread with jam or ham and apples. Hot drinks were OK but besides orange juice, I didn't find any other options for me that I'm lactose intolerant.
The receptionists were kind and the place was so cool. It was well located

0 vibes in the hostel. Very gray and dull. The shower was also awful.

Located in the city center. The room is clean. The staff are nice. You can borrow a hairdryer at the reception with your identity card. Free tap water.

The room was not clean, hair and body hair on the sheets and in the shower, the duvet was torn and the bed was uncomfortable… I’ve never slept so badly before. The bathroom fan never turned off and it was really noisy. The price was really high compared to the services that have been offered .
The position of the hostel and its staff were great.

Mismatch between the quality and the price of the hostel, there was no soap, there was also no duvet cover, only pillow cover and bed sheet.
Breakfast was quite good quality and good selection.
