Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

MOSQUITOES everywhere! I had to leave the day before as the mosquitoes had covered my arms, face and legs in bites. Pungent smell in Top floor room as well like sewerage. Also the Wifi doesn't work on Floor 4 or Floor 5. The staff advised that there was nothing he could do about that.
There is a good, substantial breakfast for the cheap price. Location is excellent, can't get anymore central than the central square.

For one-night is okay. The bedrooms and facilities could be much cleaner. The bedrooms have a weird smell. It is impossible to sleep because there is too much noise.

7 guests were booked for a room with only 6 beds. The hostel staff had to allocate another bed somewhere else. They ended up sorting that out late at night. The bed was very uncomfortable and there is a lot of noise from the club at the front but they seem to finish playing loud music before midnight.
Breakfast was ok and location was great, very close to all main attractions.

Bathroom is shared but this isn't a big deal

staff here run deposit refund scam. they charge again instead refund so the applicant has to pay 10 Euros with no reason

No option to switch the warmth of the water in showers, sometimes its too hot, other times its rather cold. Can be a little noisy at night, but was not much of a problem for me.
4 bed dorm is definitely worth it, quite clean, showers are in new condition. Breakfast is simple, but great. Location is excellent, plenty of bars and restaurants around. Really good value for the price!

Extremely sensitive to heat when sleeping so better blowing weather would have been nice when i slept windows open i guess!
I liked the quality and location of this extremely cheap hostel, that has a breakfast that fills you up with all the necessary things! Great personal working there, Filip very helpful and awesome guy to ask guidance from.I see now why the raitings are so high at this place. Top 1 hostel so far!

You have to make your own bed. The staff is not that entusiast but they are not rude, they are ok. The room was hot and there was no air conditining. The water in the showers was too hot. Breakfast is ok.

My stay at the hostel made the whole visit so much better. The staff is exceptionally helpful, caring and making their best to answer all your questions and needs, making it a personal experience. The hostel is very comfy, with nice vibe and design, you can also make great connections with people there. The breakfast and available and free coffee & tea is something very useful, the location couldn’t be better - you have everything around that you need. I’ll definitely pick this hostel for my next stay and strongly recommend to anyone travelling to Antwerp!

I only disliked a screeching bed that we got, as it seemed it would screech even when you dont move and just breathe. Luckily we had enough Belgian beers to not be bothered about it. My bedsheet had a bit of an stain, which looked old, so i bet it's just hard to wash it out, otherwise everything was nice and clean.
The location is amazing. The place is right in the city center with all of the nice bars and places to visit around. Even tho there were a lot of bars around, we hardly heard any noise from them in the room. The check-in was fast and staff was very nice. The breakfast is also one of the better ones that i have seen in any other hostel.

Great location, just in the old town centre. All the facilities works perfectly. Large shower area is a big plus. Decent breakfast. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
