Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe loved it all.
Chateau de Vignee was a perfect end to our magical two week holiday. It had all the modern conveniences and had been upgraded to a really high standard. The welcome was great. We booked the Michelin starred Arden and it didn’t disappoint. Marius Bosman took us on a journey round the world on our tastebuds. It was delicious, exquisite and so creative. Thank you.

Incredible hotel which is a small sized chateau in a rural area of Belgium but also in good distance from attractions nearby. There are many historical locations nearby relating to ww2, Ardenne forest during battle of the Bulge. Hotel is set in beautiful green area right by the river. You can see the river from your room. Rooms are lovely, dark and modern most with terraces opening to green grass area where you can enjoy peace and quiet. There is a 3/5/8/13 km walks you can do nearby. The staff are extremely courteous and welcoming and thinking of all your needs. Needless to say the hotel is completely dog friendly and the dog is allowed everywhere other than the Michelin Star restaurant Ardenne and the spa. Spa has a lovely small indoor pool overlooking the garden and a steam room (good sized) and a lovely Sauna overlooking the river in privacy and calm. Well the highlight of the Chateau is the Michelin Star restaurant and the excellent service we received. The food was mind blowing and had a fusion of classic and adventurous attempts on flavours, from different regions and even countries and schools of culinary styles. One minute you were just about to think the chef made a safe choice in an excellent flavour, only to be pleasantly surprised by something so unusual that works so well. We genuinely felt like we experienced flavours never before and he brought skills from a pastry chef into a complicated fish dish, to bringing precision cooking skills into a relaxedness. Wine sommelier was excellent, he gave us a university degree on wine in a matter of minutes, while explaining the geography, seasons, aromas, colours to science behind it all. We did not know what hit us! Most people think of fine Michelin dining as a pretentious uncomfortable dining, where you leave half full. But this is not one of those! We were absolutely satisfied, taste buds were having a festival and heads were merrily wined.

LuxembourgBreakfast was a little disappointing. Too simple and not a big choice for such a high price. I think it could be better!
Spent a wonderful weekend at the chateau. Wonderful location near the river and very beautiful nature. The decor style in the chateau is amazing, the smell in the lobby and bar is wonderful. Very beautiful interior and details, beautiful flowers in vases. We had a good time in the spa: swimming pool, hammam, sauna. I was especially impressed by the sauna: the view is amazing. Very cozy and nice place for quite weekend. We had dinner in restaurant (not Michelin) - food was very good and price is maybe a little higher than average. Staff is attentive and polite - very good!

NetherlandsGiven that the property is close to some big roads, there is some background noise from cars when sitting outside. This is not a big issue, but slightly unfortunate in contrast with the beautiful nature. Also, the bar would be unmanned at quite an early time during the nights we stayed - around 10-11pm.
We stayed in the chateau for a few days. The staff was friendly and the property was lovely. Clean rooms and a nice view over some nature and a lake. The property has a spa area with a pool and two saunas which were surprisingly quiet and also very clean - a great place to relax. The property has its own parking area with enough space, as well as a restaurant, bistro, bar, terrace and lounge area.

IsraelThe proportions between the bed size ( large king) and the room size isnt good. The bed fills almost all the room space. In bathroom: the extra toilette paper holder is located in a wrong place. Just on the sitting area in the toilette. So you cant really sitt comfortably. Dinner in lounge restaurant was bad and expensive for what we got. The waitress didnt know a word in english . They have a michelin star restaurant and no one told us before that it is closed and not open during our stay.
The hotel is in a renovated country hunting house. In a beatifull area near the river. A beautiful indoor pool with surounding windows you can see the nature all around. Room was lovely although small. Bed was large and very comfortable. Toiletary of caudalie excellent. The receptionist was very nice. Took us to the wine cellar ( loveley) he explained us about the history and the wines they have.

NetherlandsThat's not really a criticism, more of a suggestion: given that there are some lovely biking routes just around the corner, perhaps a suggestion might be to have some rental bikes, we would have certainly used them.
Fantastic welcome and service! we had every assistance from the concierge, for example with choosing our hiking route. Great attention to detail, from the water in the reception to the box of cookies in the room to wish us good night. Sauna was also great, with its view to the river, the pool small but serene and well maintained. The dinner at the restaurant is an experience of itself, fantastic culinary journey, compliments!

LuxembourgWe had breakfast in the little room in the back. It would have been great to have the curtains open to enjoy more light and the view on the beautiful garden. Also, the service was a bit light, not so much choice and mix-ups.
We had a great stay at Chateau de Vignée. The room was spacy, very comfortable, and cosy. We had an amazing time at the restaurant of the Hotel, the food was incredible and the staff extremely polite and responsive. We will definitely go back!

SwitzerlandThe 1* restaurant is really not worth it. Expensive, food was not tasty, way too special, quantity so-so. Definitely not a star worthy, sorry. Also, the area where the restaurant is, is absolutely not pleasant nor intimite. It's a large room with white, bright light. Temperature is cold. The hotel absolutely needs to work on this, in my opinion. Gives the whole experience one (or more) negative points. The bistro is only open from Sunday to Tuesday, so unfortunately you either need to find a restaurant externally or take the 1*. But if you'd like to eat a good filet pur with fries, you won't find it at the hotel on Wed-Saturday.
We loved the hotel, and we will come back, only not for the restaurant Cosy "chalet feeling" room Nice pool and sauna Lovely breakfast The lounge room to have a drink, very cosy and warm

BelgiumWe only regret that we could not enjoy the restaurant. So we'll be back for the full experience because it looks amazing. The area around the chateau is nice but you'll need good shoes or a car to reach anything interesting
We expected a nice and cosy place, and we found a wonderful place that far exceeded our expectations. The staff was adorable and the installations, amenities, etc were all luxurious and high quality. I stayed at nice and fancy plances before and they all look only average now.
