Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United Kingdomneeds at least a bottle of water in the room, very hard pillows made it very hard to sleep. Similarly there was a smell of smoke coming from the toilet in the room. otherwise a good hotel but ask to change pillow and buy water before bed, for the cost of the room water should have been included
breakfast was good, the location of the hotel is excellent and the building itself. the staff were great too.

United KingdomThe room we were in was lovely, one thing that could improve it though would be to add a screen, or separate cubicle, so you can use the shower properly. The floor gets wet when you wash your hair. Breakfast was a little disappointing. Most of the hot food had run out by the time we arrived and the choice of cereals was limited.
Unfortunately on check in we found our room smelled strongly of cigarettes (107). I reported this to reception and Arthur was quick to help, finding us another room. He actually upgraded us to a very nice room (Opera on the top floor) for which we were very grateful The parking facilities were very handy and so close - we luckily got the last space! The approach to the hotel gives an exclusive feel, the outdoor courtyard would be a nice spot to sit in warmer months before with a cocktail! I liked the decor of the hotel. The movie theme was done well, sometimes it can be a little cheesy, but not here. It was fresh and along with the nice furnishings made for a really relaxing atmosphere.

United KingdomNothing really, just slightly noisy in the late evening, but would expect some noise in a town centre location like this.
The hotel has a hip and trendy feel and is just a short distance from the main square in Tournai, with its bell tower and many bars and restaurants. We received a warm welcome here. Our ground floor room ('Disco' - complete with disco balls!) was compact, clean and well equipped. Sleep quality wise, we did get a bit of street noise late in the evening, though not enough to significantly disturb us. Breakfast was very good, with excellent pastries. A big plus for us was being able to park our motorbike in the hotel's courtyard, which was secured overnight, by arrangement.

FranceI did not like the room. It was on the ground floor next to the staff room and night entrance. The windows were very small and were at street level so not convenient to open windows. It makes the room very dark. Therefore disappointed compared to the compared with the pictures of similar rooms on the website. We arrived late at night so we’re quite eager to sleep but would have liked to know about the room ahead of arrival. Think this is were improvement can be made is when a customer notifies (which I did at time of reservation) of a late arrival (beyond reception opening time) information about the room should be provided and if an alternative is available, it should be suggested before arrival. The heating was also extremely high on arrival considering this time of the year. (However this was sorted out quite quickly after asking reception) but not very energy savvy. The parking could be managed in a better way instead of first come first served, should have a barrier around to ensure only hotel customer park with a code. On arrival there were local builders with their van taking 2 parking spaces.
Very nicely decorated, staff friendly. Hire staff provided plenty of up to date information ahead of the trip. Hotel very clean. Breakfast was varied of great quality.

Ok, good stuff first 1. Staff seemed helpfull and engaging 2. The breakast was pretty good 3. Location was great, a short walk from the town square Less good 1. My room was affested by the sound of vehicles on the cobbled street outside 2. My foam mattress was saggy and lumpy

United KingdomThe bed wasn’t comfortable for me. It had a mattress topper which was too big and it wasn’t secure. The mattress topper kept slipping off the bed. The room was hot and the heating was controlled by reception.
The location is great and very close to a good secure car park (fort rouge). The room was huge with a good bathroom. It was quiet. Breakfast was nice. The staff were brilliant
