Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumMy wife felt down at the entrance of the hotel for a slippery wood panel on the floor and she hurted badly her back. No one assisted as because there where No one at the reception. After 1 hour of phone calls the owner answered and when we explained that we want to leave because my wife was in pain she answered as that she was my wife fault and that she acn just refund 1 day. At the moment no refund at all because the lady said she don't find the room key that I left in the room.

United KingdomWe had to have all the windows open as there was no aircon and got bitten quite badly by mosquitos in the night. There was not a permanent person on reception and you had to call someone down by buzzer. The Wi-Fi did not work at all in the room, even though advertised. It did, however work in the hallway. There was no space to sit in reception as such, so we could not use our iPads etc at all. Breakfast was expensive and had to be ordered in advance. As we could not see what was being offered we did not bother to take it. However, we did regret this as there was nowhere open in town to get breakfast otherwise that was in any way affordable. We ended up going to the next village by car (Barvaux )and getting croissants to eat in Carrefour and coffee in the cafe next door. Lovely Carrefour - best one I have found anywhere.
The room was nice but could have done with air-conditioning as it was so hot. The bed was comfortable though. It was an old building with very high ceilings. The bathroom was modern with plenty of hot water. Nice seating area around the back of the hotel near the river. Free secure spacious car park on one level above ground. The best thing about the hotel was the excellent location - just over the bridge from the main old part of Durbuy.

NetherlandsRoom was quite somber, colours were not as light as shown on the photo's. We found the shower in bath with no curtain or screen very awkward.
Breakfast was very good. The honesty bar to get drinks was excellent. Communication re entry, keys and parking also very good.

BelgiumNobody at the reception when you check-in (it's a self check-in!). Breakfast was just the bare necessities...you could not grab extra fruit juice yourself. Also in the room, I was disappointed not even to have a bottle of water or so to be able to drink something. The interior is a bit like a hotel from the 80's. The stay was ok, but it's just the very bare necessities. Not the right place if you plan a romantic evening with a fancy restaurant dinner in "Le Sanglier des Ardennes"... for many people this may be just enough, but in this context it's just not enough.
The location is great. The rooms were well heated. The beds are good. I can not really judge the staff as there was literally noone, except for breakfast I saw someone.

SpainConsidering that it is a hotel and not an AirbnB, we expected at least somebody to receive us for the check in with a warm welcome. The system with codes to take the keys are very unpersonal and cold. overall ok experience but a bit overpriced for older rooms / basic breakfast
The garden, nice view.

Netherlands- Very rude and snob owner to say the least of her. No focus on customer experience at all. -No personnel present in the hotel after breakfast, -Wrong key lock password sent at the time of check in and spent 30 mins trying to open the box for our keys at.the time of arrival -Breakfast room very small, on Saturday we went down at 09.30 (breakfast offered from 0830 until 10) and no tables available (despite booking including breakfast), waited 20 mins and breakfast buffet cleared immediately at 10 so had to have breakfast in 10 mins. No apologies offered or no solution provided by staff or owner. According to the owner we only waited few mins which was a HUGE LIE - Old facilities and not clean - we had dirty sheets when they were changed that were posing as clean - No room service you need to self service at night downstairs. No tea or coffee facilities in the room, downstairs in the bar you pay with coins. No coins, no tea or coffee, no alternative. This hotel is not worth eur 210 per night. The only asset is the location and a roof, nothing more. Stay away from this hotel at all times!
