I appreciate it's a cheap budget, stop over hotel. But no excuses for having an unclean bathroom, mouldy shower etc

Room wasn’t nice, needs updating, for example the shower walls are wallpapered and not waterproof. Hotel smells and the staff is not responding to issues. Check in time is limited but it’s literally a key with a piece of paper with your name on it.

It is a great location. Cost is inexpensive

Room was freezing with no indication where heating was . No information pack in room, no toiletries, no staff or reception availability after 18:00. Television didn't work, after 2 days said it couldn't be fixed.

Our hotel room was very small, no kettle or makings. Parking was an issue, not much space near the hotel.

The hotel is close to the Menin Gate. The restaurant food was very good. The staff were very helpful.

Loved the location. Right on the town square. Close to everything , walking distance to Menin Gate - last post played there every night at 8pm without fail. Loved it. Good brekky - cooked and continental all included. Can't beat this one.

Dingy room,sent photos to our friends who thought we had paid to stay in a prison.

This was a room in the attic,it had 4 single beds and bunk beds,more like a hostel,for 145 euro,well over priced. Didn’t use the shower looked rotten,dirty old,no t making facilities,creaky floor. B,fast was ok,worth 60 euro a nite,the week before I stayed in N ovotel across the rd for the same price,no comparison

The rooms were in the roof of the hotel with no air conditioning or fan so we were baking. The towels were old and one of them had not been washed from a previous guest as it had white stuff on it. The hotel had no facilities as the bar area was closed and looked like it was shut down even though we visited in the middle of August. The price was very high for the facilities.

The location was perfect. The hotel is on the main square with parking on the square, free overnight. The breakfast was included in the price and was better than expected.

No headboards on any of the 3 single beds. Towels were literally threadbare. A very unfortunate pervading drain smell on the ground floor and when we opened our window. No tea or coffee facilities. No mirror or pictures in the room which was clad in grey plastic bathroom cladding wall to wall and up to the 10 food ceiling - this felt like a cell. No towel rail in the bathroom. No shower mat to step onto windows opened but onto a dreary light well and let in the strong blocked drains smell. As a terraced hotel, only around 8 rooms could have had a window with a view but this room felt oppressive. The only place to hang clothes were the 3 unmatched hangers you see in the picture.

Outstanding location just 5 mins from Menin gate and 5 mins from St George's Memorial church. Cheap and easy to find parking on street in nearby streets. Good breakfast with a variety of hot and cold buffet style food. Very clean. Helpful toiletries supplied. Generous sized room. Pleasant owner/receptionist. Quiet. On the same street as a wide variety of restaurants.

At the time of the stay (early august) there was a very loud fair/carnival in the Ypres square which took away from the beauty of the town. It also did not stop until half 11pm at night which meant we didn’t sleep too well. The food and drink prices were really high at the hotel and everywhere in the square. Also the room was very hot at night with no fan or A/C.

The location was very good with a view of the Ypres square from the room.

Lovely little place right on the square, very short walk to Menin Gate. Great room and bathroom we got a room with view, breakfast an added bonus and lovely! The rooms are compact but comfortable, clean and good value!
