Here we go for my review. I wish I stayed longer. (I am planning coming back actually). I stayed in the 6 beds room so I had the best view on the city, seeing it in the morning was magical. The stuff was great, I felt very welcomed. The beer in the bar nice touch. You are in the heart of the city, literally everything is close. I can highly recommend you if you like friendly atmosphere and meeting new people from around the world.

The best hostel I’ve stayed in by far. The view from the dorm window is unmatched and the location was perfection. The dorms and bathrooms were so clean and the kitchen / common areas were well stocked with washer/dryer, cooking equipment, hair dryer, etc. Great luggage storage options, friendly staff and an incredible vibe. Couldn’t have asked for a better hostel - would’ve happily stayed longer than 3 nights!

Just look at that location, you feel like you are staying in a fairy tale. It had luggage storage, laundry services, kitchen available and a nice area for gathering or relaxing. The staff was great, probably my favorite hostel I have been to.

The only thing I didn't like was that I have to put linens on my bad by myself (yes, I'm lazy:)

The hostel is located in the very heart of Ghent! This hostel itself has cultural value, and you can enjoy the stunning views right from your room or kitchen window. Also I liked the innovative system of opening the doors with a personal link in the Internet instead of carrying cards or keys with necessary to deposit some money for them. And last but not least was stuff, all the reception girls were very nice

The smell Had to pay for bag storage

Location was excellent and the hostel was very well set up with a fantastic kitchen and cosy dining area. The bunk rooms had a small storage locker per person, with the big bag needing to go underneath the bunk. I was in a 10-bed mixed dorm and the main issue was the smell - I know this is not in control of the hostel staff at all but there were multiple very smelly people in my room, which stank out the entire room. Staff were exceedingly friendly and approachable. Reasonably social for those interested - mixed demographic of young solo travellers, young groups, families and older people. Would book again, but probably try for a smaller room next time.

A huge thank you to Hostel Uppelink for such a wonderful stay! The kindness and warmth from the staff made me feel so welcomed, and the place is absolutely spotless. Every corner of the hostel is clean and well-maintained, and they provide all the facilities you could possibly need. It truly feels like a home away from home. The location was really good as it’s in the heart of ghent. the cooking facilities were really good and had lots of utensils. the environment there was realy good and as a first time solo traveler it was really easy to make friends there

Wicked location right on the canal in the centre of town within walking distance to all the sites. Had a nice sized kitchen and the staff were lovely.

That the beds don't have curtains, like other hostels. But it is not a very big problem.

5 stars view, great location, right in the heart of the city. Great staff, nice bathrooms, good breakfast and coffee.

Getting to the location is easy

The duvet itself didnt have a cover, rather a big sheet that you almost had to between you and the duvet. However, it got hot at times so the sheet was the only thing required, despite it being october when i stayed. The sinks in the main bathroom upstairs could have had soup all attached to them as only the sink for the toilets had hand soap.

The location was spectacular! The view from my room and bed was looking straight over the river. Facilities (kitchen, bathroom) were ideal for my stay - they offered everything i needed. The room i stayed in (12) was peculiarly laid out so it felt quite private despite there being 8 beds.

The view from the window is only for certain rooms. I paid 55€ for a night which I think was a bit too much for a hostel

Amazing location. The view when you step out of your room is unbeatable. Clean rooms. Clean toilet. Tap water is drinkable. Bring your own lock for the lockers
