Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Breakfast is not so diverse when it comes to offered food and sometimes there are missing many products but that’s the only one con.
Great location; place is brand new and very comfortable for stay in Brussels. Staff is very kind and nice. Easy check in and check out.

The room we stayed in didn’t have any window. So there was a lack of fresh air. Also at the breakfast there were pretty little offer of vegetables.
It’s really close to the center and railway station as well. Staffs are really friendly and they can speak english.

The location was just a copy minutes away from the city centre. The hostel had one of the friendliest and helpful staff/reception I have ever met. Clean rooms and comfortable bed.

I wish the lockers in the room had a code to lock the locker. It would be more convenient. The breakfast area can get very congested at peak times since the walking area is very small at the bar so try to go to breakfast earlier or later when there are less people.
The bed was very big and comfy, clean linen and charging port. The room was spotlessly clean. Separated shower and toilet which is nice when you are sharing with others. A little seat with mirror for doing makeup etc. Lockers to store luggage The breakfast was wonderful. There was so much choice: meat, cheeses, yogurt, pancakes/pastries, multiple types of tea and coffee. Also there was bread and various cereals. They even had vegan milk and gluten free granola! Overall the facilities were amazing. Well worth the price I paid. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Got a free drink token on arrival and they have events on every night but I did not attend so cannot comment on those.

The staff were welcoming and super helpful, I saw them advising many patrons on activities and transport etc. rooms and facilities were clean, warm, comfortable and private.

Our room was very warm during the day we stayed in April. The air conditioning seemed not to function very well. But I need to be fair . I never asked the reception to check. Maybe it was us who did not do it correctly.

To connect wifi was hard, you need to registered their website, it could be better to connect with password.
Location was very good, near to metro and center of the city by walking. Rooms are clean and well-kept.

Maybe breakfast could have had more varieties.
The location was good, close to the metro station and 5-8 mins walk from the grand palace. The washroom was clean.

We stayed in a 4 person, private bath room. Very clean and comfortable room. Even though it was close to restaurants and the city we were able to sleep with the windows open with no problems. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to leave the next day before breakfast started and they offered to make us a bag breakfast to go. I would recommend this place and stay here again if I need to be back in Brussels.

There was no proper place to dry your hair. The shared rooms have a cabinet for the toilet and a cabinet for the shower and an open sink. So it's impossible to dry your hair in the room if someone is sleeping. I used the locker room at -1 so I wouldn't wake anyone up. Also, I found the open sink concept a bit uncomfortable because there's no way to avoid making noise while using it and there's always at least one person sleeping at the room.
I really liked the location, it's a few minutes walk from the main attractions. Also, the facilities were new and really really clean. Staff was very friendly as well, I'd like to thank them all.

The hostel is in a busy and touristy area, but in the night it feels very unsafe. Our bus was late, we arrived like 10 pm, had to walk from the subway station to the hostel and some men followed us. Thankfully nothing bad happened, but was scary. There is no free luggage storage, we had to pay to use the lockers on the basement.
The family room is very comfortable. The toilet and the shower are in different cabins and the sink is in the room, which was nice in the morning considering 3 people. The beds were good and there was a lot of space to open suitcases. The breakfast was ok. The pizza we ate was ok as well. The staff was friendly.
