There was nothing we didn't like.

The host was suuuuper friendly, we had a wonderful stay, the place is so peaceful. The host made me an early breakfast because i didn't have time to eat before going to work, that was very nice of him! The room was very clean and very romantic. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Beverages were provided. There are many great restaurants nearby. And if u are a big fan of nature and hiking, you're at the perfect place! Merci for everything! And we will visit again. I recommend this place to everyone 100/100

I would have loved a bath rather than a shower after a long day's hiking...

François was the perfect host: very friendly and helpful. The manor is beautiful and beautifully decorated and in a superb setting. We loved the bar billiard table and the absolute quietness during the night. Vegan options at sumptuous breakfast were much appreciated. FIrst time I've ever had locally produced oat milk - and it was very good.

It was all perfect (except my wife beat me at bar billiards lol)

It’s a glorious building which has been tastefully restored with many of the original features remaining. It’s a secluded location surrounded by woodland with plenty of secure parking. It’s easy to find and a great location for visiting Ypres. Francois is an excellent host who is genuine with his welcome and makes you feel more than just a guest. There is a bar billiards table in the entrance hall which was kept us entertained after a night out, if you’re never played give it a go, you’ll have to google the rules. There was a good range of Belgian beers available. Breakfast was traditional and plentiful and we were fortunate enough to eat together with other guests (it was great to meet you Sven, Bernadette, Miguel and Monique) and share stories of our various travels and experiences. If you’re heading back to Calais after then there is a local brewery St Bernardus on the way which has a roof top restaurant and bar, well worth a visit thanks Miguel). Highly recommended, thanks again Francois :)

This is a little gem a really unique property Run family in a property. It’s been in the family since the 1920s the house has been sympathetically renovated. The room is very comfortable with blackout blinds which is ideal for the long spring early summer days the location was in a rural setting, ieeal running walking cycling. You can walk across the fields to the local town we did a vineyard trip. There was also a local restaurant that’s within a 1 km walk

Perhaps a softly cooked egg at breakfast might have added something.

Friendly welcome, authenticity of the building, splendid natural location is a good starting point for magnificent outdoors activities, nearby dining facilities in Loker and Dranouter, quietness, family touch provided by young family occupying part of the house.

Nothing, we would go back. Some people may not like not having a TV in their room but that wasn't a problem for us.

The dining room was magnificent with a roaring log burner and locally sourced foods. Breakfast was a range of croissants, pain au chocolat, yoghurts, cheeses, ham, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fruit and various bread. This is a magnificent building, beautifully renovated with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, but no baths just large walk in showers.
