We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThere was a thin layer of dust over the furniture. As it was advertised as ‘modern loft apartment’ we expected stairs, but would have liked a warning on the website that as it was an old building the stairs were extremely steep, winding with a very narrow tread.
Location, the amount of space, lovely shower and very comfortable seating.

NetherlandsFirst, the lock code at the entrance did not work. I had to call to get the code for the backup key box. The next day they sent me a message asking me to return back to the building while we were outside to open the building for other guests! Can you believe it? Second, the floors were not clean when we entered and the apartment door was wide open. Third, there was not a drop of warm water in the apartment. The boiler was broken and spent the whole first night with no warm water. Zero instructions were present. The apartment is great but I advice the owner to ditch that terrible company call Huswell for another more professional organization.
The location is good albeit super noisy so if you want to sleep well, do not stay there. In general nice apartment with a great view.

SerbiaThe agency that’s subletting it is very intrusive, sends messages on several apps to remind you to check in, rate them, check out… Check in takes ages and they require all types of personal info, including a copy of your passport. Moreover, there’s a bunch of hidden expenses, like a 300€ deposit for a 3-day stay, security fee, additional cleaning fees (even though we paid 100€ cleaning fee in advance). The only thing you get for that is linens and towels, no soap, no other amenities whatsoever. Furthermore, seems that there’s only one router for the whole house (3 floors in total), so WiFi was very bad or nonexistent on the top floor. Also, be super careful about the stairs, they’re very narrow and spiral.
Location was super central and although it gets noisy, the view is impressive and it’s easy to get around town.

NetherlandsI left the apartment after just one sleepless night. There is a bar downstairs with guest DJs on Thur, Fri and Sat nights till 3 am in the morning. the apartment has no double glazing and the noise and vibrations from the bar kept me awake all night. Note this is far worse than just the occassional noise in the street one would expect in this location. The rental company had no sympathy and charged me for the full four nights I bad booked simply offering to see if anything can be done in the futute with the owner. It is the worst Airbnb rental I have ever had.
The apartment itself is spacious, clean and well appointed.

FranceA series of events showing lack of interest in customers' satisfaction. When we arrived to the flat (between 5.30pm and 5.45pm) the door was opened (so 13rd degrees in the flat ..we had to keep our coats inside for several hours). We still tried the entry code and noticed it didn't work. The travel cot we ordered 20 days before arrival (and for which we got a confirmation) was missing. We immediately contacted the assistance via the guest platform. Someone acknowledged the 2 issues and mentioned a colleague would shortly be in touch. Radio silence. We tried to contact the emergency number several times but no one ever picked up the phone. We had to spend the evening in the flat I stead of exploring the city as we didn't want to let all our stuff inside with the door opened. Let's not mention the night we spent without a bed for our newborn baby. The following morning the emergency number still didn't work. We only got some support from the customer assistance around 11am, providing a code to access some keys downstairs and letting us know that there was no travel cot for this flat. Long story short we will not come back there for our next stay in Antwerpen.
Very central location and fabulous view on the main square and the cathedral from the different windows. Spacious flat with traditional architecture.
