Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Bathroom flooded easily so I had to be careful using the shower. Secondly on my last night the carbon monoxide alarm started beeping- I contacted the management but they didn’t send anyone to replace the batteries- their solution was for me to take the batteries out myself to stop the beeping which I feel isn’t exactly ideal given the alarm is there for safety reasons. I didn’t see a single member of staff during my entire stay.
Good location. Comfortable bed. Clean room.

The carpet covered the hallways and room was old and dirty. Heater was stuck at 18 and it was cold outside

Stuck with loud neighbours with several people making a lot of noise til middle of night, no staff on site makes it extra frustrating. Also really need a deep clean of the shower heads and the kettle, not nice.
Room was very nice, bed real comfy and good location with short walk to the main areas or to hop on public transport.

The gym. The weight machine was so basic and kept getting stuck mid lift. Definitely needs servicing

No regular cleaner until you checked out, so the room got naturally dirtier without the means of cleaning up after (spraying sinks, surfaces etc and hoovering)
It was very comfortable and I appreciated the plugs in the headboard of the bed. There were facilitators to top up on milk and tea downstairs if needed

My room was very cold, and AC didn't work. The room was dark, and there were not enough lights or a bright one to work on the computer or reading . To get stuff from my bag on the floor, I had to use my phone torch! The Chrome TV was working. I'm my room, and the Internet was weak.
Big room size, very clean with coffee machine , mini fridge, and comfortable bed. Quite to sleep or study. There is a gym to use free of charge.

Assuming a decent number of guests do not remove their shoes when entering the room, cleaning the surfaces thoroughly is a must. The carpets could be a little bit cleaner. Also, having an iron and a kettle is great, but unfortunately, some of these items are not in a good state. The kettle leaked a lot, so did the iron :(
The bed, it was very comfortable. Also, the view from the fifth floor is awesome. The room was very spacious and also we did not expect the little touch of having a radio and a fridge, which makes for a very good breakfast :)

They didn’t clean the room everyday but it is quite clean when we checked in.
Location is good and close to all sightseeing places. The room is very comfortable and spacious.

Only thing was lack of parking nearby and the fact there was a sewage smell in the shared room downstairs the day we arrived. The next days nothing to mention.
Amazing rooms, nicely put together and with a luxury feel to them. Lighting was also great! All very clean and comfortable. Incredible bed.

The rooms were too hot at night. There was no service. After five nights, it was too much of a lack of service. Responses were slow and inconsistent.
The location is terrific, right by the main square. It was a good value.
