It had everything we needed and was in the perfect location for us. A short 10 minute walk to Grand place and only 15 minutes from the train station. The bed was super comfortable. The free luggage storage after checkout made our trip really easy too. If we ever return to Brussels, we will be staying here again.

After confirming a baby cot a week ahead of our stay, it didn't arrive until the day AFTER we arrived and many messages and calls with staff (and them promising it would be there by the first night). I don't understand how, in hospitality, you don't go out of your way to try accommodate guests. Especially with something like a baby cot. This is the major downfall of not having any staff on site. If something is wrong, there's no one to help. Secondly, I got bitten over 40 times by bed bugs. Obviously not a great experience.

The room was huge and made staying in the hotel really nice. The location was close to the main city centre, we could walk everywhere. The key code (as opposed to a key card) was really helpful.

Awful experience, no cleaning services for 5 nights. Assistance done via whatsapp. Very impersonal!

Room doesn't have any cleaning services between the 5 night stay we had, which is awful. Everything is very dark, the carpets to the rooms and inside of the room are black. Walls are dark grey. Lights are weak. Assistance is done via whatsapp and it is a bot. Takes ages for a human person to reply - you have to call to talk to one! Very bad! The entire process of checking in and out and during the stay did not have any human interaction. I understand the intention of agility but what happens is that it becomes impersonal and sad. The code to enter the room didn't work. There are no toilets in the hotel that are not in a room, so if you check out and leave your suitcases in the lockers when you return to pick them up and want to refresh yourself, you cannot. I hated my stay in Numa and will not use it again!

The beds were comfortable and the amenities had a good sense! The lockers are good size.

It did not distract us too much but some of the facilities are already worn out. Reading lamps leveler worn out and does not work, sope hangers falling down.

We took bigger room and it was 100% worth it. Spacious room, lots of cabinets, separate work desk. Separated WC from the spacious bathroom. And a really cozy design. The host has allowed early check in, and it was very comfortable that there is a free luggage storage in the basement available to use even after check -out.

It was incredibly hot in the city during our time of stay. Although it’s advertised as having air conditioning, it was not capable of cooling below 76F, which was quite warm. I didn’t mind the temperature as much as the humidity, and our sheets were just damp. Maintenance did drop a fan off the following morning, but it was generally uncomfortable. 36 hours into our stay, my husband found a different hotel that had much better air conditioning.

The self service is an adjustment, but if you know what you’re getting into, you’ll be just fine! It’s a quaint little building on a beautiful plaza, with a small cafe/bar next door to get some beverages. There’s a bike/scooter rental drop zone very close by, so Lime (and so many other brands) were our main source of transportation!

Not really keen on places where there are no staff to ask questions in person and all access is done by keypad. Probably an age thing, but at least everything worked as it should have.

Very comfortable bed and quiet, reasonably spacious room. It only took me about 15 minutes to walk from Brussels South/Midi station, and was reasonably close to the Grand Place and the main area for gay nightlife.

    A disappointing and unhygienic experience

    A disappointing and unhygienic experience

A disappointing experience The location is excellent - easily able to walk everywhere within fifteen minutes or so, and a range of bars/restaurants/shops within a couple of minutes walk. The issue is with the property itself, and the way it is managed. Your booking is instantly transferred to a bot who contacts you via WhatsApp; this is how you receive your check in details and that worked well. Where it all falls apart is when there is an issue with your room and the bot fails to understand your problem, which was further compounded by the human who eventually answered my plea for assistance not bothering to read the previous correspondance. The shower in my room was faulty and resulted in a flood in the bathroom the first morning. It took 24 hours, two attempts to deal with a bot, a final interaction with a human late at night and a trip to the basement to finally get some dry towels, all ready to flood the bathroom all over again the next day. Also, if you choose to withhold housekeeping services until people have stayed continuously for eight nights, then please provide cleaning materials for self cleaning of the bathroom and toilet. You're not charging hostel rates, so at least ensure that your guests can live and sleep in hygienic conditions. As others have said, the photos don't always relate to the rooms provided. Mine was always dark and gloomy, with minimal lighting. Corridors are the same.

Incredible problems to get the invoice in a proper way. I booked for a rate for 4 nights and they provide an invoice with different night cost. I explained that is an issue for my Mission Claim but they answered that they can't modify it. After opening two complains and one with booking the sent me a fixed invoice. For getting this right invoice took me more than 2 hours of phone call and 4 mails. Will not use again this place cause of this and already share the problem with my Colleagues of commission. We have a night cealing and with this change of nights cost some of them are over the ceiling and we don't get the refund.

The apartment is very nice with many commodities. The room is very big and the bed very comfortable Close to city center and places for dinner.

Bad points - useless feedback mainly due to the assistant bot - too many message, many of them not needed and they are even sent in hours that normally the costumer should not be disturbed - clean standard very low for the type of hotel. It is not acceptable to have hair from previous clients and have not clean glasses. Especially if the room was just cleaned to accomodate the new client - do not provide slippers, unacceptable for the cost of the room - no daily cleaning and no daily change of bedsheets and towels. If I need to change them I have to do it by myself. It is unacceptable for the room cost. Moreover is a room and not an apartment as they claim. Based on the above I will never book again this hotel.

Good points: - fast feedback - easy checkin and out

Everything remote and digital - not safe and not pleasant

Rooms very dark and gloomy. The whole concept of a digital hotel is absolutely not convenient. Especially if something goes wrong (and that happens every day). Either lifts are stuck, doors are stuck, the codes are incorrect etc. There are no locks inside your room to lock it for the night (and the reception could remotely open it). any error with the codes could make your door open to a potential stranger. We had a cleaner come in our room at 9am when we were still sleeping because there are no signs “please don’t disturb” and no lock! . Our luggage locker got stuck as well just before we were meant to leave to the airport and almost missed the flight! The reception is very much needed and I won’t be staying in hotels like that ever again.

Our first room was really smelly (mold smell from the air conditioning), however we have contacted the remote reception and another room was assigned to us.

Room was clearly not cleaned ( except for bathroom and toilet ) , bed linen was clearly not changed which was not acceptable. There was something looking like tomatoe sauce or pasta sauce on duvet cover which proved it hasn't been changed. Also , carpet was very dirty and definitely it wasn't vacuum cleaned. Stains on walls. Carpets on corridors of the hotel was also dirty , not vacuum cleaned. When I tried to straighten up floor lamp which was standing in awkward position almost falling, there was a spark, smoke and we had no electricity in sockets to charge our phones or make cup of tea so I called someone from hotel 24 hours helpline ( there's no staff at the hotel at all but I knew that ) , person answered promptly and was kind and helpful and sent electrician who fixed the problem ( it was enough to switch on the fuse but I couldn't find fuse box and it's in the toilet above the door ). We were glad to get electricity back except that for some reason electrician has recorded few seconds video of me on his phone which was confusing and I didn't gave him permission to do it , he took pictures of several parts of the room on his phone ( I suppose to have a proof we had electricity ) but I wasn't ok with video and before I had time to object , he was gone. Strange practice... Not great view from the room ( 306 ) , facing some office or college windows with lot of people in it and they could see us but since we were out most of the day , it didn't bother us and we could always draw curtains. Anyway , for 267 eur for two nights without breakfast, I would expect at least bed linen to be changed and carpet clean so at our next visit to Brussels we won't be staying there again.

Location was excellent, very close to Grand Place and central train station. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom and toilet nice and clean.

    Everything was perfect.

The check in and check out are super easy, no need to contact with people. We got to check in earlier which is great. The room is big, huge plus for separate bathroom and toilet room. We had everything we needed : a kettle, 2 cups, 2 spoons, a bottle of water, tea and a coffee machine. The bed was fresh and the towels were fluffy. At night it was quiet as our windows had an inner garden view.

It wasn’t a huge issue for me but breakfast was at a hotel across the street (included in my booking price) and the food selection was very small compared to what I’m used to from travelling to other European cities. But there are plenty of places nearby where you can get nice breakfast, and there are grocery shops nearby where you could buy items and store then in the fridge in your room if you fancied having breakfast in your room (having a kettle + tea selection + coffee machine in the room is handy for such cases).

Really enjoyed my stay at numa in Brussels. I was impressed by the service as this was my first time staying at hotel that’s fully managed electronically (i.e. electronic/online self check in, WhatsApp communications, no staff seen around). It was very clean, quiet and my room was very spacious. I really liked having a kettle in the room and a supply of teabags so I could have a cuppa in the evening, and I had a nice coffee machine, which I liked using in the morning. The fridge in the room was a nice touch too as I stored some drinks there. In terms of the location, I was a walking distance away from all the key tourist sites in the city, and a 10-15min walk to Brussels Midi train station, which I needed for travels to Ghent and Brugge (I was based in Brussels and travelled out), and for my Eurostar train back to London. Finally, the luggage lockers at the basement were very handy! They’re first come, first serve, but there were plenty, and the lockers were decent in size and easy to operate via instructions provided. I would definitely stay at numa hotel again, and I was pleased to discover that they exist in other countries too 😀

There is no reception or attendant at the hotel. They send you a code and your room number via email the day before check-in. I was annoyed that there was no staff at the hotel you could ask if you had a problem. There is no room cleaning during your stay. Garbage is not collected, towels are not changed. The day I left the hotel, I realized that I had forgotten my phone chargers in the room. If it was a normal hotel, I could go to the hotel and ask at the reception. However, after leaving the hotel, I did not have the chance to return to the room. I e-mailed my problem to the relevant person but did not receive a response.

The hotel is clean, the rooms are comfortable. Close to the center.
