Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

I got a top bed but was comfortable tho
I like the stuff, they were all gentle, especially the Moroccan Belgium guy, he was so kind, educated and helpful. He didn't hesitate to give me recommendations, thank u buddy. I liked the vibes, i got to know some other guests in the hostel, we hanged out ! Wich made me enjoy the city more. The hostel was clean.

The staff took forever to check me in. Since hostel was in tourist hotspots, it was really noisy at night and we couldn’t sleep with the window open.

The good location comes with noise. Convenient to grab a drink in the center and go back to sleep, but also means you have to tolerate people drinking late on the streets. Also, probably my own fault though, that I mistaken this with another hostel I was looking at simultaneously, but it is mixed rooms (thought I booked for female, but I didn't go downstairs to confirm), so... could end up with three male roommates.
Very close to the Grand Place, so it is convenient. Able to go to the Grand Place in the morning before 10 could be a huge benefit. Has bathroom in the room, with shower. Also has curtains for each bed, so it gives you privacy. Has closets in each room.

- the biggest and really only bigger problem was that wifi didn't properly reach my bed, was unable to plan my itinerary from there, quite annoying when you can't sleep and don't want to go down to the lobby - the beds weren't super comfortable and a bit squeaky at times but nothing unexpected for this price range
- great location right in the centre of the city, the room itself was facing inside, not out to the busy street so it wasn't usually loud even despite this - staff useful if any problem came up, good budget option for few nights - brought my own lock for the locker, found out after arrival that it was too thick to fit (so bring a thin one!), also personally didn't have problems with the door unlocking app

rooms were much too small. The breakfast was very limited,, but okay. The elevator was incredibly small. I am not very claustrophobic, but I felt ill at ease in this particular elevator. So during my stay, I walked up and down countless stairs.

Towels are extra charge. I could hear everything happening in the neighbouring room.

Beds creak I asked for an additional blanket because it was cold at night, at the reception I was told I'll they'll bring one, but they didn't A towel costs 2 eur Wi-Fi connection was terrible. Just terrible
The place is very good - in the very center Personal toilet and shower in the room Shower gel and shampoo. Possibly they were someone's, not from the hostel, but still they were presented

Our room didn’t have an A/C fitted. The streets are loud even on weekdays, it’s impossible to sleep. You can either listen to the noise of the street and the shouting people or die with closed windows in the room thanks to the heat. After booking a room and paying for it, I still had to pay for the luggage room. The breakfast is a rip off for €7.5. I just want a partial refund😅
It’s located in the city centre and the staff is really nice and helpful.
