Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyThe bathrooms smelled bad. They seemed clean enough, although there was often water on the floor because the sinks are shallow.
The downstairs level of the hostel is a bar on one half and just a hanging out/sitting area in the other. This was super nice, because I could buy food from the grocery store and come back and eat it with friends.

United KingdomThey offered an evening bier tasting that was very well run and a good way to chat to other travellers. The water in the showers was hot and good pressure. Staff were polite and friendly

PolandNo common area just a bar, but there is an option to just seat over there.
The room was spacious but my side was far away from day light. Courtains give privacy, sockets and light above each bed. Under beds are also lockers. Many coeducational toilets on one floor often cleaned. 30 minutes walk from train station. There is an option to buy breakfast for 6€ or 7€ if in the morning.

AustraliaWe stayed on a Wednesday night and there was a big party on in the bar that went past midnight. As it was warm, we had to keep our windows open, which meant it was very noisy.
This hostel is so close to everything! We got a bus from the main station when we arrived, and then didn’t need to catch public transport again.

GreeceI’ve stayed there only for one night, in a room for 30 (!) people. Surprisingly, that was quite comfortable: the room is spacious and quiet, every bed has a curtain, a socket, small shelf, a lamp and a drawer underneath where you can put your stuff. The window is overlooking the street so it can be quite noisy in the evening but the room itself is fine. Not far away from the historical centre.

GermanyAll doors in the building are quite loud, so if you’re a light sleeper like me you’re probably gonna wake up when the first person is going out around or people come back late at night. Same for the luggage storage below the beds, it’s basically impossible to open those quietly. Also there was a bit of mold in the showers and the room.
Good location, about 10-15min walk to the city centre. The bar next door is super convenient to meet up woth people and they also organise a beer tasting.

United KingdomWe had to pay to keep our bags in a locker, make sure you have change to do this. Breakfast at the property seems overpriced for what it is, if your in the private rooms with the kitchen there’s a supermarket down the road. Does do a great coffee though. Shower wasn’t great
The shared bathroom private rooms are in a little apartment with two other rooms a kitchen and living room. The bar downstairs is really good and helpful information at check in for walking tours ect

CanadaObviously there are lots of sounds and lots of people in a 16 bed dorm but it was a great experience and we felt safe.
First time we stayed in a 16-bed hostel and so we did not spend time in the hostel itself but it was fine, mixed dorm, and 2 girls not bad at all.

AustraliaThe shower in the private room was a bit awkward due to the position of the handle. The bathroom flooded a bit including the basin. The room had a mould smell so it must be an ongoing issue.

United KingdomThe toilet was a bit gross after so many people using it so needed to be cleaned more often. There is no free locker storage so you have to pay 2 euros for storage. It was also a bit far from the central area (Grote Markt) etc, maybe about a 15 minute walk.
The staff were friendly and the downstairs bar had great vibes with cheap drinks. The rooms were adequate but nothing flash.
