Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyI had a wonderful stay, even if it was only for one night. It is a little outside the city center, but is very easy to reach by bus. I can only recommend the sauna, I didn't use the massage chair. The bed was very comfortable.

IrelandOnly thing really is that while the bed is very soft and comfy, it’s very narrow so not a dealbreaker but as someone who’s on the larger side I had a few time where I thought I’d roll off lol but it hasn’t put me off booking again so not a big deal
This place was really good both times I went. Having to go to Ghent often, I look for a place that’s both cheap but also good quality and this ticked the boxes. Really good for the price. Private rooms, shared bathrooms but not lots of rooms so they’re always free I find. They welcome you really well with a sleep kit, slippers and gown. And the second time I stayed they had a coffee machine in the room and a fridge which was really handy! The bus that leads you to Ghent isn’t far from the place either. Couldn’t go wrong and have already booked it for my next stay!

SpainThe walls were thin so we heard some noises we didn't want to hear ...
The room was lovely, the bed was super comfy. We loved having a coffee machine in the room and a fridge. Plus a shared kitchen. The bathroom was shared but it was clean. Location was good too.

ItalyThe position good but a bit far away from the railway station and the neighborhood didn't offer much in terms of activities and food. The cleanliness of the studio definetly needs to be improved, it is not dirty but you wouldn't say it was clean like you would expect from a touristic apartment.
The studio is nice, very spatious, and fully equipped with everything you may need (towels, bathrobe, hairdryer, coffee machine, kettle, TV and even a private sauna and a massaging armchair (!!!)). The money/quality ratio was definitely good. The self chek-in procedure also works well and is very convenient. The staff(even if we didn't meet anyone "in person" was very fast to answer our messages and calls.

Czech RepublicMy room was a little bit cold. In January it might be a problem.
Easy check-in (24h), fair price in Belgium. It is not in the city centre, but the public transport in Ghent works good, so you will be fast there. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. You can use the kitchen.

UkraineThe premises could use some fresh renovations. It would be nice to paint the walls, remove all excess and change the colored bed linen to white.
it is clear that the owner is trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is everything you need: a kettle and coffee maker, a supply of tea and coffee, a bathrobe, disposable slippers and even a sleep mask. The room is clean. The hotel is not located in the center, but there is a bus stop nearby.

United KingdomA little far out of Gent, but an easy cycle and the bus stop is very close so not really a problem.
Had a flying visit but the place is really well setup. Even though it’s a “shared bathroom” it’s only actually between two rooms, so not a problem. The kitchen had everything you could need and the bike store is a bonus.

United KingdomSo hot, had an air conditioning unit which was too noisy for night, couldn't leave the one window that opened open, due to the road noise and people going in and out the flats next door. No shelf to put washing stuff on in the bathroom. No info on how to get to gent, buses, trains, this would have been helpful. Too much furniture in the room which made the room seem cramped, not open which was a shame.
The bed was comfy, basic amenities were adequate.

United KingdomA clean and comfortable place with all necessary amenities at a good price. Easy check in via code and keybox. The room is equipped with an extra kettle and a handy small fridge. You can also find slippers, a bathrobe, and toiletries in the bathroom. The room was small but sufficient for one person. I stayed for only one night, but it can be suitable for a longer visit. Close to the hotel, you can find some restaurants, a takeaway, and a small grocery shop. The area is quiet and seems safe.

BrazilThe address is pointed as "154 bus-a" for number, which both Google or Apple Maps didn't understand. So they pointed us to another number as the Zip Code and we ended up lost in the night near a social housing. We had to take another bus and walk again and it showed two address, it was a bit hard to find. Once there we couldn't initially open the key lockers because there is a certain way to press. Hopefully the staff and guests were nice and helped us so in the end it worked! But if it were a bit late (past 22h) probably we wouldn't have gotten no help.
The staff helped us reaching there by call as the address given was not properly parsed by Google Maps. The shower was really great and warm. They had robe, flip flop, towel, chocolate, good tea, coffee, everything. My room was a bit cold, I didn't see where to control the heating, but I had a great night as they had plenty of duvets. Also complete kitchen available. Great value for more for one night! Very close to bus stop so with ~2 euros you reach Gent Zuid easily and save a lot of money.
