Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Didn't see any staff during the time we were at the hotel. Nobody on reception. Just a room card left on the desk. No cleaners seen or heard. Croissants for breakfast guests just left on the desk each morning.

It's a pretty decent hotel, but at that price point. I paid 366 euro for two nights it's just not good enough. It feels more like a hostel than a hotel. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just not worth the money.

The beds were really uncomfortable and made a lot of noise when you moved. You also hear everything from other guests.
The location is close to the center so it is easy to walk. Also the hotel is next to a large public parking.

The room was very small. The room was a little tired. No one was ever at reception. Our room key was sitting out with a dozen others waiting for us at check in so no problem there. When we needed more towels we called the number and they said we had to go down to the front lobby and towels were available in a cabinet.
The location was fantastic! And garage parking right across the street so very accessible.

-There was no one in the reception. Very difficult communication (phone number not available… They didn’t reply to our msg) - it was raining in the bathroom; water pressure was very low. - there was nothing to drink (water, coffee or tea). - the towels weren’t changed. - very expensive for the hotel and room conditions. - no parking

no staff on reception. Nicer communal areas.
excellent location and good value but lack of staff on reception made it a little tricky at times as room keys failed to work on arrival. No communal area for example a bar to relax in. Hotel says it's "boutique" but decor in corridors and rooms was a little tired.

It would have been better if someone was on reception when I checked in. It wasn't a particular problem, but set hours would be preferable in case there were any issues.
Although my room was at the front looking over the main square, it was pretty quiet and I had no trouble sleeping. The room was fairly standard and clean. It was a very convienant location for exploring the city.

It was a little strange - no one on the desk, just keys left there - including the master key! Didn't feel very secure in that respect and it would have been nice to be checked in by a person we could talk to. It was also very noisy from outside and in the morning. Cleanliness was okay but could definitely be improved.
The location for the old town is perfect. Easy walking distance to lovely shops, restaurants etc. And a short walk from a big and relatively cheap car park too, which made travelling nice and easy. The rooms were okay, shower was nice and hot.

When we arrived we were not met by anyone, no communication. Room we were assigned to was a used room and was dirty but once we finally got ahold of someone we were given a clean room. Breakfast was just so-so, no variety and the cleanliness of the breakfast room and equipment was questionable. Reception/ hotel representation was only present for a couple of hours in morning after 8 am.
Location was excellent with only short walk to train and to old town.

The lights are all on timers and they go out after a very short time. This needs to be extended, or you end up in darkness in the bathroom!
I read the reviews for this property and was expecting there to be problems on check in but there weren't. The reception was unmanned, but the host answered the phone straight away and the key had been left for us on the reception desk. The location of this property for the price is fantastic.

The room cleaning was very poor. My room was only cleaned two days out of five. The bathroom was never cleaned, the towels were never changed. It was very difficult to get in touch with the hotel. My requests through the web of booking were never answered, and there was never a person at the reception.
The location was the best. Very close to downtown, the railway station and the conference center. The breakfast was quite good, and the guy in charge was nice and willing to help.

The hotel is pretty old and requires a good refurbishment across all the floor. The breakfast was very basic and I hardly managed to find anything to eat. Otherwise, it was a decent stay for the money you pay.
The best feature about this hotel is its location which is just off the main street and very close to all amenities in the city. If you come by car, the city's largest car park (underground) is just 50 meters away from the hotel.
