Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

If there was a point to raise it is that in the fridge there was only one bottle of still waterl left in the fridge whereas we were a couple and would have preferred two bottles to be left each day.
The room was spacious and clean. The shower was excellent. Every member of the staff gave an excellent service.

Welcome at breakfast not good. No one explained the system (everything buffet but you can order in addition to that).
Restaurant open all day. Good food. Efficient service at 1600.

Nothing. It was honestly so brilliant
Everything. The location is amazing, the staff were so helpful and friendly. Our room was small which we expected as we booked the cheapest room type and it’s an old building. But it was so comfortable and the bathroom was a fantastic size and not cramped at all. The bar was fab too. It’s only about. 7 min walk to centraal station and about 3 mins walk to royal gallery saint hubert and grand place. The area felt really safe and we had no issues walking around at night.

The view from my room overlooked a building and so barely any daylight got into the room. This was OK in so far as I didnt spend much time in the room, but I'd have liked a better view.
Staff were very helpful as always and very accommodating to any requests. The hotel is in a fantastic location, nearby anything you might wish to see and easy to reach from the airport.

The whole dining and bar area was confusing - with limited food availability in the more casual sitting areas, even though everything appeared to be part of the same lovely restaurant/lounge, with three indoor sections and two outdoors.
Room was comfortable with thoughtful touches. I did not have the expensive breakfast but went out to cafes instead. The location, next to the opera house and close to the Grand Plaza, was excellent.

All the food options have the same high prices, the bar, room service and the rather formal restaurant. I was hoping for an informal option with lower prices. I found what I was looking for at nearby eateries.
Excellent high standards, typical of a high-end 4-star hotel.

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location. Lovely courtyard area and the rooms are excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful too. The gym area is nicely done, not much in the way of free weights but couple of running machines and bikes. The sauna steam room area is lovely. We always try and stay here when in Brussels, extremely central but also a quiet haven.

Very helpful polite staff. Very good location near to centre of Brussels, a short walk to old town and Brussels centraal railway station - perfect location. Room was large and comfortable. Free WiFi in hotel.

Everything was great but it might be a bit outdated, for example, electric outlets (possibly USB outlets for charging phones) by the bed.
