Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

They charge me for the first night , even I could not arrive due to flight cancell. They say it is Booking. com policies, not ours..

Clean, contemporary hotel. The room given to me was spacious, comfortable and quiet, on the top floor. The hotel has direct access to a public underground parking (not the cheapest, but it's Brussels), which is very convenient. Hotel is right next to a metro station. Breakfast in room was plentiful and very good.

The sauna wasn't great due to the multiple infrared heating panels meaning it was difficult to get comfortable and I was worried about buring myself on them.
Great hotel, very well appointed. Nespresso machine, water bottles all provided free of charge. Lots of green/sustainable options such as skipping room service to earn a discount in the bar/donation to charity. My room overlooked beehives which was really nice. Staff very helpful when I wanted to arrange a late check out.

Although there was a USB plug next to the bed and a plug for the light, there was only 1 other plug socket in the room. Not a deal breaker, but another one would have helped!
Great location and within walking distance of the tourist centre. Great size room and bathroom. Good gym. Really friendly staff. Nice coffee machine in the lobby.

Maybe slightly faster service in the hotel bar. The food there was too expensive for what it was -- a small side size salad cost 19 euros and didn't contain anything particularly interesting.
The breakfast was great. Location was also ideal. Room was clean and nice.

Location was a bit removed from the Grand Place. We found ourselves renting scooters to transit back and fourth. Price was a bit expensive also.

Breakfast was quite expensive. The location is not nearby of Grand Place. You should take a transportation to get there.
Room was so clean and spacious. Being of a family of four, it was very comfortable stay.

The room was very warm, and even when we turned down the thermostat it didn't really seem to help. The bed had quite a hard mattress and I didn't get a great night sleep either of the nights.
The location was great and it was easy to get to the hotel via different modes of transport. The staff are really helpful and ca guide you to some good spots

The location was exellent for us, Metro just outside and few minutes to the downtown. Very clean and helpfull staff. Breakfest was one of the best in central europe in this price range.

The bartender wanted to close the bar at midnight instead of 1 because we were his only customers. I found that kind of rude when he said it to our face. The bin in my room when I checked in was full, it had not been emptied. I tried calling the reception several times from the phone in the room but it was not working, so I had to go down seven floors to let them know. Towels were not spotless.
Wonderful breakfast, loved the complimentary water in the room.

the fried eggs tray was cold but otherwise excellent spread for the breakfast
Attentive staff - shoe shine on Thursday was a welcome touch - 5 euro coin for environment - attentive Bar staff - in fact - loved the foyer space and large rooms
